the perfect everyday amber
as everyone is saying yes it kinda smells like naxos and then blonde amber, but dont get confused it's slightly different in it's own way ! to me it's simply one of the best everyday amber scents i've smelled so far. so if you want a better naxos and a less expensive blonde amber just close your eyes and left click on buy.

What would a world be like where good is simply good?
Just imagine the following! You don't need much imagination, I promise! Picture a young guy wanting to make his dream come true. He probably takes out loans and puts everything on one card. He briefs a great perfumer about what he wants. He doesn't aim to reinvent the wheel. He delivers solidly. And everything that is evaluated - is just the scent. Wouldn't that be a dream?

And since I am a dreamer, I have maximum respect for the courage to put something like this into action, and I truly wish him success - that's exactly what I do. I evaluate exactly what it's about. Not the person behind the brand - just the scent.

Fovere really doesn't reinvent the wheel. Yes, it has similarities to XXI: Art Deco - Blonde Amber. Yes, it may not be a creative high-flyer. But to call it a dupe - is simply untrue. Fovere may be similar - but it is not the same. It doesn't have that tuberose. It starts off more flattering. It is significantly more affordable. No, it is not a copy. The rum is beautiful. The lavender is not annoying. It is well made.

Sillage & longevity are really maximally solid for me. I think Carbonnel has done a great job here. The scent has a beautifully resinous warmth. For me, it is the perfect companion for autumn and winter. I can also imagine Fovere very well on cool summer evenings.

In short, in a perfect world - one would consider the scent itself. And it is great. I have just XXI: Art Deco - Blonde Amber on my left arm and Fovere on my right. Yes, both are buddies - but not blood-related.

I really like the scent a lot and I can only wish the young fragrance house the best.

In a perfect world - this will be a success story. Call me naive and rosy-eyed - but in my world, a good perfume - is simply a good perfume.

Heidelberg's Finest
As an ode to the beautiful Heidelberg and as a start to a personal brand journey by Phil - I’m excited to add my two cents. Especially when a perfume is as powerful and competent as "Fovere" - particularly if you enjoy a wickedly wearable (!) amber...

"Fovere" is an amber-infused all-rounder par excellence. If it truly represents Heidelberg, then it can only be called a genuinely positive advertisement for the city. Slightly smoky rum prevents the top note from being bland and interchangeable. But what follows steals the show even from the most seasoned rum... Wow! When "Fovere" showcases its creamy-vanilla muscles in the course and especially in the dry down - as refined as it is unique! - one can hardly escape love at first sniff. This is how a perfume debut should smell! I'm not even a huge amber fan anymore - those who are will score an extra point! - but I find this absolutely sensational. It’s warm, it’s cozy, it’s comforting and lulling - thankfully, it doesn’t come across as just an outdoor or winter scent. Woody and delightful. One would gladly let go here, feeling safe and secure. Sunbeams shimmer through the autumn forest. Whether it’s the sharpness of ginger or the grains of tobacco, there’s always something present to keep everything far, far away from being drab and generic. It never gets boring here - yet it remains consistently reliable. One can only congratulate and thank.

Bottle: simple but valuable (at least in the pictures!)
Sillage: totally potent but never overwhelming
Longevity: a real beast - 12 hours and much, much more!

Conclusion: spicy and comforting character amber with a dreamy dry down, enormous longevity, and rum... one cannot start stronger and of higher quality as a niche brand!

Fovere - Sweetness Forever
The wordplay may not be very original, but it somehow seems fitting. Because if you can immediately associate Fovere with something, it is sweetness. And it is a rather carefree sweetness that seems to be composed of many components, such as bergamot, lavender, as well as tobacco flower and, above all, amber-like notes.

But there is also a hint of sharp ginger, very soft rum, and not-so-earthy patchouli to be found. I even suspected a pinch of cardamom - but it is not listed.
At this point, one naturally tries to draw connections with the familiar, with the mentioned "Naxos | XerJoff" and "Grand Soir | Maison Francis Kurkdjian" coming to mind, the former being without honey and the latter without resin - and overall a good idea lighter.

This impression takes quite some time to develop, before later becoming softer again with musk, tonka bean, and vanilla, and above all a bit more gourmand. Sandalwood adds a small spark of welcome mystique.

Alongside all the mentioned facets, I also catch a whiff of soapiness... and I keep thinking about cardamom. After all, the spiciness that is indicated alongside the sweetness must come from somewhere.

In conclusion, it can be said that Fovere is a successful debut for the brand Phil Julian and absolutely has its place. Those who disdain sweet fragrances will certainly not be converted by this, but it offers an appealing and trendy vibe that works both in summer and winter. In my eyes, a refined sweet scent that, although it neither really lasts "Forever" nor necessarily offers monster projection, still has a lot to offer in that regard and will definitely make its way.

Congratulations on that... and I am curious to see what else the brand hatches. Keep it up!

Fovere: The Silent Embrace of Amber-Colored Light
There are fragrances that you wear, and there are fragrances that wear you. Fovere clearly belongs to the second category for me. The opening is like a fresh breeze on a warm spring morning: bergamot and ginger dance lively on the skin, slightly sparkling, almost playful, with a cool elegance that momentarily makes you forget the everyday.

But just as you get used to this freshness, another character begins to emerge. Deeper, softer, almost radiant. The amber. And what an amber it is. No sweet punch in the face, no sticky opulence. Rather, a warm, golden shimmering embrace that spreads with such naturalness, as if it has always been there. It is the heart of Fovere. Soft, a little sweet, but never overwhelming. More like sunlight filtering through amber-colored glass.

Accompanying this warm center is a delicate rum note that adds a touch of depth to the fragrance - subtly boozy, never blatant. And somewhere amidst all this, a bright tobacco note mixes in. It is present, yes, but more like a memory than a voice. Slightly smoky, but without heaviness, more of a whisper that rounds out the picture.

Fovere vaguely reminds me of "XXI: Art Deco - Blonde Amber | Clive Christian." A fragrance that I greatly appreciate but wear only very rarely. Too sweet, too heavy, too present. Fovere, on the other hand, seems to know exactly when to hold back. It has this balance between sensual and wearable, between elegance and lightness. It works just as well in everyday life as it does in the evening, in spring as in winter, in sunshine as in rain.

And that is what makes it so special for me: It doesn’t want to stand out; it wants to have an effect. Quiet, gentle, but with depth. A fragrance that lingers. Not in the room, but in the memory.

And what makes this journey particularly special for me: I was able to accompany it from the very beginning. Phil, the brand owner behind the fragrance, sent me Fovere directly. Again and again new samples, different variants, small nuances that changed. I was able to witness the development process, provided feedback, and had the opportunity to contribute. We finally met in person at Esxence 2025 in Milan. A moment that elevated the whole experience to a new level for me. Phil asked me to take the photos for his first release. A great honor and a special vote of confidence.

I am proud to have been a part of this project. Fovere is not just a successful release with an exciting concept; it is also the result of passion, exchange, and a friendship that has developed over time. And that is exactly what makes this fragrance so special for me.

Excellent high notes (the prettiest ginger/lavender/booze 400 grit sandpaper ever). Then a very good but inconspicuous amber. No thrills.

Basically Blonde Amber, but without the floral tuberose and a bit more tonka. Warm, pleasant, nothing new... but still great.

Ah, the main street in Heidelberg!
Elegantly strolling in Givenchy's heron.
Sweetly ambushed at Kaufhof.
Coquettishly vanilla at Footlocker.

Sorry, but this is just another Ambroxan club for me. The rest of the listed notes don't really come through for me.

Works great in the niche community, as the scent mainly relies on Ambroxan, musk, and a hint of tonka.
