My dear Icefall, I would

really like to say something nice about you, good thing I didn't read your ingredients in your resume first, so I'm completely unbiased. You are quite an eccentric character, the first impression... well, I hope it's misleading, celery and Maggi herb are your companions. Ah, your name, it's just perfect for hot days, I thought you would cool me down, at least you have an icy character on the outside. Not at all, you are a bit cabbage soup-scented, warming, but take it easy, I'm patient, maybe you're just shy and hiding behind vegetable buddies. Slowly you become calmer, gentler, looking at me kindly, the vegetable herbs turn medicinal, with a pleasant sweetness - just like making gargle solutions tasty for the little ones. And it seems you work in carpentry, you have something woody about you, which I like, it distracts a bit from the cabbage soup. And it feels like I've known you for a while, do you have a brother? Let me check my list, ah, there he is, Kythnos, is he family of yours? Oh no, well then... let's keep it short, you are not my type, I'm sorry, there's not going to be a second date.

Hmm. I would have expected something different based on the ingredient list. With celery and lovage, I always worry that the scent might have gone off - but according to your description, that impression seems intentional. However, I do enjoy cabbage soup in the fall, but only in a bowl, not on my skin, ;-).

Well, if you want to shine with cabbage soup, you have to expect a basket 😉

That's quite a polite rejection, dear Pluto! I didn't even know this brand, let alone this scent existed. And after you dismissed it so expertly, I don't want it either. There!

Somehow, I felt that way about the whole brand.

Good to know, that saves me some trouble😉

I wouldn't even go on a first date with that. And then cabbage soup... yuck!

Others don't seem to notice the veggie aspect, but it ruins the fun for me; the nice base just isn't enough.

In the end, names are just noise and smoke, but I also can't stand it when expectations are raised...

Exactly, it's so irritating, or rather... disappointing... Are you doing okay, my dear?

I wouldn't even be willing to wear it on a first date.

With that "pre-loading" pyramid, I wouldn't have even given it a first date :-D! Good thing you wrapped up the story ;-D

I either think Pineward is great or awful. I don't know that one, but I can make you a cabbage soup with Maggi for cheaper ;)

I'll gladly spoon your Kohl soup 😋

I actually found it quite refreshing, almost "green-aquatic," and, as one of the few Pineward scents, it was really wearable. However, I tested it in spring, not in the peak of summer. That might have been why I liked it.
Translated · Show originalShow translation
PlutoPluto 3 years ago
The name is misleading; you expect something refreshing and summery...

Fragrances can be perceived so differently. For me, it was cooling, fresh, cypress-like, like a mountain panorama... Maybe it was the heat today too...
Translated · Show originalShow translation
PlutoPluto 3 years ago
That's exactly what I expected from the name😉 unfortunately, that little drop won't be enough for another test in winter.

Vegetal scents seem to be trending right now. It's not for me either.
Translated · Show originalShow translation
PlutoPluto 3 years ago
I do like it a bit herbal, but this one was too much on the veggie-herbal side for me. It gets better later, but it's only good for a satisfactory rating.

Icefall sounded so good today. But sweating with vegetable soup, no thanks!

Oh, it wasn't that flatulent 😊 more veggie...

Oh dear, they say that a Maggi scent means a perfume has gone bad. For me, it would be nothing - even without cabbage soup.
Translated · Show originalShow translation
PlutoPluto 3 years ago
This maggot note is quite common in some herbal scents today.

Pineward and the Maggi theme. It's always so misleading. Yes, you can notice the Maggi, but I think the bottle cap smells like it, not the scents themselves...
As for Icefall: It could have been really great. It basically is, but it needs a more fitting name... I imagine something different when I hear Icefall...

PlutoPluto 3 years ago
That's true, the name is poorly chosen. I like the base, 6.5 is still a three😉

I can totally understand that... at the latest with cabbage soup, I would have said goodbye.

What the cabbage soup is to you, a bombastic grapefruit blast is to me.
At the core, pierced by pine needles :)
But I also really like veggie scents.

Just reading "algae" makes me shudder. Luckily, I hardly have to eat any. But I don't want to smell all fishy and algae-like either. Here, let me offer you a really delicious fresh sprig of lovage, cut this morning while it was still cool, and then you'll get the real Maggi scent! :-)

Not for soup! For sniffing and in salads, on herb quark, baguette... Such a sprout is delicate and aromatic.

Thank you very much, but unfortunately it's too warm for soup today.

This one wouldn’t be for me. I still don’t get why scents have to smell like vegetables and especially... WHO wears something like that? Oh wait... chefs.. Exactly, chefs 😂

You have to - when I scroll down... - apparently wear it in winter. Or in spring. Or in autumn. But not in summer, when you’d need ICEFALL. Unpractically done! Cabbage soup in summer. No, just no.

PlutoPluto 3 years ago
You should definitely try it in winter.

Amusingly written... I actually like it in the heat... And Pineward can definitely do a lot more Maggi 😁

Kohl soup is nasty; he deserved a second chance with the children's medicinal gargle solution...

I found it quite interesting, Pineward DNA (that's where your Maggi perception comes from) and a pretty cool, minty accord. But I chose a different Pineward :)
Translated · Show originalShow translation
PlutoPluto 3 years ago
I think I prefer the Chanel DNA :o) But the base is nice, so it gets a 6.5, which is a 3..
