... Prin releases such as Mongolian Mriga, were the musk sits with more body and has a fruity-like sweet currant funky overripe smell. The musk in Onthamara however works well, as the blandness is almost undetectable as is livened by sweet resinous leathery amber. Upon this amber-musk combination, lies a bed of beautiful facets. It is arbitrary to try to name what note combination makes each smell with this multifaceted jumble of notes - yet easier to name smells. Black slightly dry and sour/rancid smoke that lingers in your breath after every whiff, sweetened honey at the start of the sniff, earthy dark 85% cacao chocolate yet sometimes sweeter and milky when it combines with the amber, and the smooth spruce and dark plants which give Onthamara its dark green hue. Wow. I cannot verbalise how impressed I am. It is so incredibly multifaceted and well blended, everything works perfectly together. .. one of if not the best displays of raw perfumery I've ever experienced. With every wear I uncover so many more facets that were before unpercetable to me, and it is so beautifully inconsistent. Never have I smelt the same notes or facets between two sniffs, every smell is so incredibly different. The most beautiful dark hazy mysterious forest I've ever smelt ;).
