A Visit to My Grandparents That I Would Rather Not Have Undertaken
Some fragrances transport you to a special place or awaken forgotten memories. Feu Sacré has definitely done that for me - but in a way I did not expect.
As soon as I sprayed it, I was taken back to my early childhood. Back then, when I visited my grandparents with my parents, I always stood in front of their door with mixed feelings. I liked my grandma and grandpa, but their old house with the dark, heavy furniture was a nightmare for me as a child. It always smelled slightly musty, a bit like oil, like rooms that were rarely aired out. This exact feeling was evoked in me by Feu Sacré.
But that’s not all - on top of the already challenging base note, there are strong spices that only make everything more intense. For me, this is a blend that rather repels than fascinates. However, I am sure there are lovers of such dark, nostalgic fragrances. Personally, I do not belong to that target group.
A strong scent that certainly has its fans - just unfortunately, I am not one of them.
