Riggs London.....Ah yes, where should I categorize you? The scents?...almost clones of popular perfumes from other brands, just slightly altered or with a kind of twist. The bottles?...Deliberately reminiscent of PdM or rather a typical English bottle crest style?!
Riggs London somehow manages to excite me, both through the presentation and the scents, and especially through the price.
The longevity is good, the scent is also no surprise for those who know the aforementioned, it is smoky, sweetish, and somewhat sulfurous like a matchstick.
So why is this so great?! Well, because for the price of €49 you get a fantastic scent in the direction of By The Fireplace, in a bottle that is extremely high quality, beautiful heavy glass, a metal cap, and it all comes in a packaging that you search in vain for at more expensive houses; a foldable box with a card listing the fragrance notes.
Yes, the scents have been smelled before, yes, the bottle looks strikingly similar to the PdM bottles; but it is all done so well! You don’t feel like you’re holding a cheap dupe product.
Here are my other comparisons of the Riggs London scents.
