Can’t get enough
What’s this? An extrait the parfum by Rimo Scent. A niche brand with quite some oud-based fragrances. Worth a try, right?
So I braced myself for first impact, sprayed it on skin and I was surprised by just how friendly the smell was. Pretty sweet. Coffee with lots of cream and vanilla chestnut syrup went through my mind. Quality ingredients no doubt but I couldn’t detect a whole lot of oud. I quickly dismissed it as designerish but with better ingredients. It mainly reminded me of a Stronger With You flanker.
I went on with my day and these beautiful whiffs of wood came floating by. Oh wow, not exactly the oud I was expecting but definitely intriguing! Nose to skin reveals a small hint of burnt charcoal. Drying down, the perfume also started radiating the vanillic amber. It’s shrugging against gourmand but a petrol-like quality keeps it from going the edible route.
How does it perform? I’m not an oversprayer but I had the impression that it was certainly filling a room. 6 hours later I changed clothes and it was still clearly detectable from an arm length and another 4 hours and a shower later I went to bed still smelling it on me. It’s nothing pungent or in your face though, so I didn’t complain at all. Normally when a scent klings on you like that I get bored of it but not with this fragrance. On the contrary, I can’t wait to wear it again and I’m definitely going to check out more from this brand.
