Fragrance between Heaven and Earth....
..... this Chypre 23 by Zarkoparfume. A brand completely unknown to me so far and an equally unfamiliar scent. But I do not regret this "blind swap" at all.
The "start" of the fragrance is light, airy, free, and carefree, with a rather authentic citrus note coming towards me. Mood-lifting, warm, and bright pastel orange.
This then becomes richer and deeper as it develops. The "heaven" slowly gives way to the "earth," with intermediate stages of "high mountains" (spices that seem to float), dark forest (rich patchouli), and green shimmering moss on damp ground.
Right up to a slightly exotic "earth note" that is formed through the interplay of the fragrance components.
I can also imagine that a minimal degree of "sharpness" could come from ginger.
Once, I had ginger tea that smelled accordingly, and coincidentally, I had applied an "earthy chypre," which reminds me when sniffing Chypre 23 of how that smelled together....
And between "heaven" and "earth," there is quite a lot to discover olfactorily, which concerns not only "upper world" and "underworld." From fluffy-light and bright-light to rich green mossy damp meadow grounds with oaks, from which the silver-green "tassels" of the corresponding moss hang down. From a windy day in the tundra to dry desert sand, and then to rain-ready clouds... then to cozy ginger tea drinking in a chypre cloud....
All of this unites "heaven and earth"... A beautiful, unusual fragrance with an AHA factor... there is certainly more to discover...
