"Sicilian Bergamot" plays with citrus, green, and sour buds of the beautiful Mediterranean island.
One is reminded of the lost "D&G Masculine" or "What About Adam," just with less character, courage, and power. "Sicilian Bergamot" is a lightly bitter newcomer that has already gained enough maturity. Slightly sharp (ginger?), slightly niche, slightly faded. It seems as delicate as the "Malachite." Powdery it appears to be, the DNA of RP. But let's see what else is in store for me. Sweet and airy, this one is a good start. And maybe the brand is a reason to pay a visit to my hometown or the Budengasse there again...
Bottle: green and fitting
Sillage: very lean - but it fits
Longevity: the drydown lasts longer than expected - 7 hours
Conclusion: a delicate green, partly almost floral bergamot from the island of my paternal ancestors. Fits Sicily, but remains a bit too timid and pale. For my taste. Price/performance is remarkable.
