Gentle acid rain
"Sicilian Bergamot" plays with citrus, green and tart buds of the beautiful Mediterranean island.
One feels a bit reminded of the lost "D&G Masculine" or "What About Adam", only with less character and courage and power. "Sicilian Bergamot" is a slightly tart freshness, but it's had maturity enough. Slightly spicy (ginger?), slightly nutty, slightly faded. Similarly delicate as the "Malachite." Powdery it seems, the DNA of RP. But let's see what else is in store. Sweet and airy, this one is a good start. And maybe the brand is a reason to pay a visit to my hometown or the Budengasse there again...
Flacon: green and fitting
Sillage: very meager - but also fits
Durability: the Drydown stays longer than expected - 7 hours
Verdict: a delicate green, sometimes almost floral bergamot from the island of my paternal ancestors. Fits Sicily, but still remains a bit too timid and pale. For my taste. Price / performance, however, is considerable.
