Well-Groomed from Head to Toe

I have known this perfume for a while, and it was never one that I wanted. For a long time, I loved loud, oriental scents - the more "BANG!" the better.

At some point, I grew tired of the loudness. Even my beloved Noa began to annoy me, became too strong, and I needed a creamy, gentle alternative.

For weeks, I sniffed my way through various perfumeries in 3 countries, always annoyed and wanting a scent that I couldn't directly describe. During my search, I found that many associate floral and powdery with creamy, which for me has nothing to do with each other. It can be floral and powdery, but the focus should smell like a cream jar.

The online search was also of little help. Again and again, Noa or Nivea was recommended to me - unfortunately, the Nivea perfume just doesn't smell good on me.

At some point, I stood frustrated in the drugstore, annoyed and almost desperate. I soon liked no perfume anymore; I felt overwhelmed by too much scent and artificiality. I sensed the end of my love for perfumes.

I had already tried scents from S Oliver, and my hand first reached for the EDP - unfortunately, it was still too overpowering for me. Grabbing the EdT was the right choice - I felt like I was in heaven. Creamy, delicate. Light floral notes, along with a spritziness (which is otherwise not my direction), I perceive something citrusy.

The scent changes little, is cozy and close to the skin. It doesn’t last long; it’s not perceptible for more than 2 or 3 hours.

The bottle is surprisingly clean for an inexpensive drugstore scent, does not look cheap, and is a small delight to hold. Even in my handbag, it’s not a bottle that looks quickly grabbed; it’s just that the cap is slowly getting scratches.

The scent is not a perfume for special occasions. However, I love wearing it in everyday life when I simply want to appear well-groomed or when everything feels a bit too much. On days when I leave the music off on my way to work and only listen to a podcast. On days when I shouldn't be spoken to before my third coffee. Or on days when my colleague has used her Armani perfume again for bathing, and I already feel nauseous in the hallway.

Sometimes I apply my perfume only at work, and my colleague likes to call my drawer "the mini-Douglas." And when it should be gentle and well-groomed but not intrusive, this scent is my choice.

Nothing, but absolutely nothing special. And that makes it quite special.

No one will be bothered by this scent. Many will probably find it boring, and that is absolutely fine. A pleasing mainstream scent that has a rightful place in my shelf (or rather my handbag).

I've already gone through my second bottle of this. The EdT is just so versatile and gets used up - unlike my perfumes "for special occasions" :)

That's right. These little fragrances, friendly, suitable for open office spaces, casual without being trivial, often get overlooked. And this one is exactly that kind of scent.

Zara's Femme is one of those too.
I sprayed it on to test last time and I think I’ll get it soon. At that price, it’s a no-brainer :)
I can't say anything about the longevity, etc., since it kind of got overshadowed by the others I tried.

Absolutely 😊
I need to test it again soon, as it was definitely lighter than the others I had on my arm. But the lightness I smelled really appealed to me. :)
And if you're there, the Friday - Freaking Gorgeous is also worth a quick test.
It seems to fade after a short time, but then it comes back - it's generally very light as well. 😊
If you feel like it, feel free to give me some feedback after your test. I'd be really interested to hear what you think! 🙃

Yes, sometimes you need exactly that. I always like to go for Close by GAP. It's wonderful for client meetings. You don't always have to smell heavily perfumed.

Wonderful description. The scent is special because it’s nothing special.
I also belong to the 'The-fragrance-needs-to-be-everyday-friendly' group, because I really don’t need so many scents for special occasions.
