The brand Sãlum has intrigued me for ages. Back then, someone pointed it out to me when the brand was brand new. At that time, Delicious Bay wasn't available yet, but the Marine Oud had already caught my attention. Unfortunately, I still haven't had the chance to smell this fragrance, but I have been able to test Delicious Bay in the meantime.
What can I say? Classy!
Delicious Bay somehow combines two worlds and unites them brilliantly.
On one hand, we have this Italian-aquatic touch, and on the other hand, something warm-creamy and oriental.
The scent has a bright floral aspect and at the same time a creamy, almost gourmand-like sweetness with beautiful depth.
Furthermore, it possesses a super fine and well-balanced spiciness, along with a slightly aquatic-fresh touch right at the beginning.
Over time, it becomes creamier and sweeter.
This truly bright floral note is still somehow present, albeit a bit more subdued.
I’m not usually a fan of floral notes. However, there are fragrances where everything is so elegantly and beautifully crafted that I am convinced, and that’s exactly the case here.
Towards the end, more and more of this creamy sandalwood accord with vanilla comes into play.
But it never becomes too sweet, let alone overwhelming.
Not at all!
I can also only praise the performance. It lasts a good 8-10 hours, and the sillage is nothing to hide. It envelops you warmly and super pleasantly.
Oh man, I really like this scent!
Hats off to Sãlum, Chapeau!
You're welcome 🙂
