Wonderful lightness
It does me so much good to lean on your strong shoulder. To breathe in your fresh, spicy, but also warm, even cuddly scent. You radiate strength and security for me, you always look well-groomed and have both feet firmly on the ground. Like a rock in the surf. Your fragrance is fresh and invigorating, expresses a certain cheerfulness, but for me it is also gentle, flattering and approachable. The flowers probably soften the spicy, masculine base with vetiver. Of course, there is also a bit of severity, but never too much. Something soft, pleasant and cuddly predominates. A slight amber sweetness, which never really comes across as sweet, complements the flowers. A little bit of everything, in my opinion. Fresh, spicy, slightly sweet, yet masculine, persistent, strong and a little balsamic.
Not as balsamic and sensual as Roja Elysium Parfum, but for me at least it's hard to beat in terms of men's fragrances in this fresh and spicy direction. I've never come across the fresher cologne that this fragrance is supposed to be based on, which is why I can't make a comparison.
For me, Elysium Parfum always had traits of Davidoff Cool Water in its original version from Lancaster. It also had this sensual, balsamic note in the finish, which could be felt on the skin and in clothing for a long time. There were various fragrances in the nineties that were characterized by this note. A Fraghead's Asylum does not have this depth. It is lighter, more light-footed and focuses more on the fresh character traits, which also gives it a wonderful radiance. I think I catch a tiny hint of Bogner Snow, also from this period, which may be wishful thinking. No wonder. Snow, like many of my favorite fragrances, has also disappeared from the market many years ago.
What I perhaps find most beautiful here is that it is not at all scratchy or pungent. This fragrance remains mild and soft from the first spray through to the base note. And that at a price of around 35 euros. I admit, I wasn't expecting that. But I find it almost more beautiful. Even Rojas Elysium Intense, which hasn't even been on the market that long, is brimming with synthetics and bites a little, at least in my opinion. I am very sensitive when it comes to modern fragrances, which is why Elysium Intense unfortunately failed for me. This fragrance scores with lightness and dispenses with the ever-popular woody-amber bases. Lightness, which I personally always prefer to extreme sillage and lasting for days. Chapeau!
The name doesn't really suit my taste. But honestly. Who cares about that?
