Sister Ichtolan
Anyone who knows Ichtolan ointment will immediately wrinkle their nose. A thick black ointment made from slate that draws inflammation from wounds.
It comes in various strengths.
Here, the nice nurse uses the lightly dosed ointment. How do I know?
Oud Blanc has small hints of this ointment. A bit sharp at the beginning and smoky woody. Not unpleasant. Rather refreshing, for which the bergamot, ginger, and pepper are certainly responsible. Woody, without the universally loved term stable dung etc., which Oud contributes. A soft, slightly smoky Oud that smells very, very pleasant. Smoky like the dust created from the stripping of the slate stones. Tuberose or jasmine are rather subtly noticeable. Certainly more or less for some. I can only associate rose and iris.
Overall, the scent is a really lovely flatterer. Not sweet at all, although that's what it says. Oriental? Opinions differ on that. For me, not really.
Anyone looking for something fresh and creamy who wants to try Oud should definitely test this scent. Absolutely unisex.
