Sister Ichtolan

Anyone who knows Ichtolan ointment will immediately wrinkle their nose. A thick black ointment made from slate that draws inflammation from wounds.
It comes in various strengths.
Here, the nice nurse uses the lightly dosed ointment. How do I know?
Oud Blanc has small hints of this ointment. A bit sharp at the beginning and smoky woody. Not unpleasant. Rather refreshing, for which the bergamot, ginger, and pepper are certainly responsible. Woody, without the universally loved term stable dung etc., which Oud contributes. A soft, slightly smoky Oud that smells very, very pleasant. Smoky like the dust created from the stripping of the slate stones. Tuberose or jasmine are rather subtly noticeable. Certainly more or less for some. I can only associate rose and iris.
Overall, the scent is a really lovely flatterer. Not sweet at all, although that's what it says. Oriental? Opinions differ on that. For me, not really.
Anyone looking for something fresh and creamy who wants to try Oud should definitely test this scent. Absolutely unisex.

Here the spirits part...

I actually bought this fragrance blind (due to the advertising of an influencer) and was extremely surprised.
It is very noticeable over a longer period and leaves an impression. Whether positive or negative? I have received both as feedback.
Therefore, it definitely belongs to the category: either you love it or you hate it, there is nothing in between.
(But everyone can test it for themselves in advance, as a small sample is included with the purchase.)

I find it wonderful, as it is a strongly spicy-oriental fragrance that can be worn by both men and women. Which note stands out the most is hard to say, as the interplay of the woody and smoky notes and oud is balanced and successful. However, one person who found the perfume negative perceived it more as "earthy/grave-like."

Special & Everyday Suitable

I must confess that I was influenced by this fragrance. It was my first blind date - I had no idea how the scent would smell, yet I had the desire to have it at all costs. The packaging is beautifully designed and even includes a small sample, which I like to use on the go. The scent is just right for those who love oud and want to acquire a special fragrance at a relatively affordable price. Personally, I wear it in every season, both during the day and in the evening, and so far it has been well received everywhere. I have also given this fragrance as a gift several times. All in all, a great scent!

Blindbuy - does it work?

My answer to the above question: a YES. I must admit that I am a bit of a marketing victim & now and then, (no, that’s an understatement) more and more often I buy fragrances or generally products that are recommended, by whom & where is another question. However, with this fragrance, I was also attracted by the super simple and minimalistic bottle; I love that kind of thing. So, a few clicks & ordered. What I find great is that you receive a sample with the fragrance and can easily return it if you don’t like it.

The fragrance notes can be overwhelming due to their variety. But to say a few words about the scent itself: it is very oriental, yet pleasantly oriental & can be worn wonderfully by both genders. The scent smells very high-quality to me. The rose does not bother me at all this time. It is sweet, resinous, slightly smoky, floral (in this case rose), spicy, etc. You can already tell that it has many facets & I feel the same way. It is by no means reserved but also not intrusive. It is very well received in my surroundings.

Conclusion for me: a successful blind buy. :)
