The Scandinavian Design Studio Pneuma was founded in 2019 by Diana Lindboe and Camilla Boccardi Christensen in Copenhagen. The architectural background of the two founders forms the foundation for translating spatial concepts and the objects they contain into appropriate scents.
Studio Pneuma's design approach is closely tied to the anatomy of the human body and aims to combine inviting forms with ergonomic functionality to create an emotional connection between the subject and the work. The scents help to create and enhance the desired mood in the room.
Studio Pneuma combines scent, material and room perception in various projects. For the interior design brand Muuto, an installation on neuroaesthetics was created as part of 3daysofdesign, showing how smell, light, sound and material shape the experience of space. The room fragrance Floating Leaf, designed for this purpose, is inspired by Andrei Tarkovsky's science fiction film Solaris and formed the atmospheric centerpiece of the overall work of art.
The brand values that its fragrances, which are hand-bottled in Scotland, are sustainably produced, cruelty-free and made without animal-derived ingredients.
