Way too intense for me

When applying "Sir Agarwood | The Misk Company," I was reminded of several artisan fragrances, and I once again realized why I often do not like these scent directions. They are simply too bulky for me and suitable for very few occasions. That said, the performance here is strong. The longevity on my skin exceeds 12 hours with a successful sillage.

The top note initially smells very animalic like castoreum but also intensely woody like oud. The heart note is leathery and oriental-spicy with aromas of cloves, allspice, nutmeg, suede, and tobacco. The base again has an animalic, resinous-woody, dark, earthy, but also smoky scent of agarwood, castoreum, civet, musk, cedarwood, peat, and labdanum.

Even though "Sir Agarwood | The Misk Company" does not offer a signature that truly appeals to me, I sincerely thank Sören for the decant.

Price-performance hit of 2023!

For me personally, it's already my discovery of the year. A very pleasant, not musty or animalic smoky oud scent that never feels overloaded or too heavy.
A noble oriental and versatile fragrance that is rounded out by the tobacco, rose, and incense.

The performance is above average, and with well over 12 hours of longevity, it's a fantastic piece, still gently noticeable on my skin even the next day.

Very interesting and worth testing. For me, even a blind buy if you're familiar with the notes! With real oud, making it a price-performance hit!

This is what Oud smells like!

Do we have a Oud value-for-money hit here?

What needs to be said upfront: We have a truly authentic Oud scent here - not comparable to fragrances like Oud for Greatness!

With Sir Agarwood from The Misk Company, we have an authentic Oud fragrance without any animalic or other strange notes. It really smells exactly like you are burning Oud or applying Oud oil.

But how does the scent smell now?

Primarily, it smells very dark, woody/Oudy, and especially smoky. The fragrance has a lot of power, but it still carries a certain elegance.

The performance is top-notch! 8-9 hours of longevity.
You will be noticed, but the scent is by no means intrusive or aggressive. I would rather say it is a gentle fragrance, even though it is still so voluminous.

In my opinion, one of the best fragrances when it comes to authentic Oud scents. For the price of €79.99 for 50ml, you really get your money's worth!

For all Areej le doré & Ensar Oud fans - you no longer need to sell a kidney for a fragrance ;)
