The problem with the attitude of expectation...

The Nose Behind has been a household name for me since the beginning of my fragrance journey. However, I never got around to testing any of the fragrances. A blind buy was too "risky" for me due to the controversial reviews of these fragrances. In the meantime, I think that many of these negative reviews are due to the sometimes high expectations (e.g. Miami South Beach would be the further development of Naxos). In general, I can't say which of TNB's other fragrances fulfill expectations and which don't, but I know that too many "expectations" and "promises" in advance can cloud the first impression of the fragrance. When I saw on the homepage that there was a new fragrance called Marrakech, my interest in the brand was immediately reawakened. The fragrance pyramid finally convinced me to buy it for Black Friday. The nice thing was that this time there was no big promotion for the fragrance.

The fragrance starts quite fresh for me. What you immediately notice is the mint paired with the beautiful orange, whereby the mint is very dominant. Relatively quickly, the spicy notes and the cinnamon set in. I can't tell which spices they are, but it doesn't really matter because it's just a pleasant spicy note that is nicely accompanied by the cinnamon. Over time, the orange-mint combination recedes into the background and remains just a quiet companion until the drydown. In the drydown, the vanilla comes to the fore together with the tonka bean, but not too overloaded, but rather soft and calm. Until the end, you have a beautiful vanilla-tonka spice blend that occasionally hints at the beautiful top notes. For me, this is a very interesting fragrance that I have never experienced before. I can't say too much about the performance because 1. I have skin that is difficult for fragrances and 2. I think that fragrances mature over time. An evaluation will follow in the future.

Finally, I would like to say that I think the fragrance is simply very good in terms of its DNA and quality, especially for the price. It is also great for niche beginners because it is niche enough to stand out from the designers but still remains pleasing. All in all, I am very satisfied and will definitely be testing other fragrances from this house.

Thanks for reading :)

That's exactly how I feel about this brand and the reviews but the way all the online personalities rave about this brand it can't be that bad the price is great and not every scent has to take over the room
So far this is actually the best and most honest review I've read on parfumo so far Chapeau 🙌
