Curious about the fragrance pyramid, I recently purchased a sample of Marrakech. The scent notes as well as the name of the perfume sounded very promising to me.
At first, you are almost overwhelmed by the mint, with the orange barely having a chance against it. It wouldn't be so bad if this mint didn't have an extremely musty coriander note for me. So unfortunately, the opening doesn't quite convince me, even though I generally have a certain fondness for unusual perfumes.
After about half an hour, the mint-coriander spell is over, and a rather pleasant, soft tonka-vanilla-spice scent develops. Quite nice, slightly sweet, beautifully soft, but really nothing special. After such a completely quirky start, I would have wished for a few more edges and corners as it progressed. But well, at least the scent is nice now.
For a short time at least. Because after about 1 hour, at most 1.5 hours, there is nothing left of the perfume on my skin. It’s gone. And I didn't exactly spray sparingly. I find that clearly too weak, and it leaves me feeling rather disappointed and helpless overall.
Marrakech and I, we probably won't become friends...
