Game - Set - Match? Unfortunately not, but a good serve
'Tennis Green' lives up to its name: at times I feel like I've been "beamed" to a tennis court where I would be caught holding my scent stick to the green ground.
Tennis Green starts citrusy-green with a somewhat tart, slightly musty note, but quickly returns to the citrusy. Whether it's rhubarb that you can smell, I don't know - it's a good citrusy freshie at the beginning, which triggers a slight "tingle" in the nose due to the mint and pepper. Good serve!
As it develops, about 60-90 minutes later, it continues to be the green tennis court, but has become slightly creamier, sweeter, and milder. I would say that you can now smell the teak wood and moss more distinctly than before. Jasmine likely brings the creaminess; no trace of saffron so far.
After about 5 hours, the scent has noticeably faded.
Musk and amber and one of the woods are now the most prominent, with no trace of a "green freshie" left. It has become very generic now, unfortunately very unremarkable. Not bad at all - but it has lost that certain 'something' and could easily be a designer scent in the DD.
Final word:
In my opinion, the scent is unisex with a slight lean towards the masculine. Late spring to early summer. Absolutely suitable for daily wear. The scent starts off very pleasant, very unique. However, in the DD it becomes more boring and after 5-6 hours it is only barely perceptible on my skin.
Tennis Green seems to retail for around ~175€. Is it worth that to me? No. I see it more in the direction of 125€. All-in-all, I would give it a 3+ or a 7. I'm not a tennis person, but I would categorize it as a tournament at a high level, but with a bit less prestige and prize money.
