Raspberry Tiramisu with Date Compote Served in a Wooden Bowl

Treat 2 is an authentic, fruity, gourmand-woody creation by Jimmy Bodin, a French perfumer and founder of the brand "The Unleashed Apothecary". Finally, a gourmand that I like right away, because it doesn't come on too strong, feels extremely natural to my nose, and keeps the intensity of sweetness pleasantly in check.

Immediately after applying the fragrance, it reminds me of raspberry spirit, but without the sharp alcoholic note. I mention this to give a better idea of the raspberry note in this scent. So, we are not talking about fresh-tart raspberries, but rather those that have been preserved and then freed from alcohol. The natural fruitiness is still present, albeit in a compressed form, which is by no means negative.

Shortly thereafter, a delightful, authentic composition of Nutella and dates unfolds, which never comes across as intrusive but remains gentle yet always present. Towards the end, the woody base gains significant dominance, without being overpowering or animalistic.

The sillage and projection of the fragrance noticeably decrease after about an hour, which is typical for many extrait concentrations. I could perceive the scent on my skin for about 7 hours, with the last 2 hours being more of a very subtle, almost skin-close drydown. Oud woodiness and the beautiful date lingered the longest on my skin.

The bottle of the fragrance exudes a certain artistic grace and draws on the popular historical apothecary theme.

Overall, this fragrance reveals itself to me like a kind of tiramisu, refined with preserved raspberries, but without amaretto and without the creamy note of a classic tiramisu. The chocolate-cocoa note is compensated in this case by Nutella, and the date gives the whole thing a slightly creamy development. A very successful and appealing fragrance experience.

Whether it makes sense to wear this unisex fragrance with a masculine tendency only as a sniff-not-wear given the purchase price is a decision that everyone must make for themselves. As a perfume, I would probably use this creation very rarely. One should really be a big fan of gourmand fragrances of this kind to indulge in this little gem as a perfume.

Cheers!
