Raspberry tiramisu with date compote served in a wooden bowl
Trat Treat 2 is an authentic, fruity, gourmand woody creation of Jimmy Bodin, French perfumer and founder of the brand "The Unleashed Apothecary". Finally, once again a gourmand that appeals to me right away, because he does not turn up so much, comes along extremely natural for my nose and the intensity of sweetness is very tolerable within limits.
Immediately after applying the fragrance, it reminds me of raspberry brandy, but without the sharp alcoholic note. I mention this to give a better idea of the raspberry note in this fragrance. So these are not fresh tart raspberries, but ones that have been pickled and then stripped of alcohol. The natural fruitiness is still present, but in a compressed form, which is by no means negative.
Shortly thereafter, a delightful, authentic composition of Nutella and dates unfolds, which never seems intrusive, but remains gentle and yet always present. Towards the end, the woody base clearly gains dominance, but without being intrusive or animalistic.
The sillage and projection of the fragrance decreases noticeably after about an hour, which is typical for many extrait concentrations. I was able to perceive the scent on my skin for about 7 hours, with the last 2 hours being more of a very subtle, almost skin drydown. Oud woodiness and the beautiful date lasted the longest on my skin.
The fragrance's bottle exudes a certain artistic grace and picks up on the popular historical apothecary theme.
Overall, this fragrance opens up to me like a kind of tiramisu enhanced with pickled raspberries, but without the amaretto and creamy notes of a classic tiramisu. In this case, the chocolate cocoa note is compensated by Nutella and the date gives it a slightly creamy development. A very successful and appealing fragrance experience.
Whether it makes sense, given the purchase price, to wear this unisex fragrance with a masculine tendency only as a sniff-not-wear, is a decision that everyone must make for themselves. As a perfume, I would probably use this creation very rarely. So you should really be a big fan of gourmand fragrances of this genre to treat yourself to this little gem as a perfume.
Cheers!
