It’s complicated. 12 | Twelve is a fascinating fragrance that is both alluring and challenging in its complexity. The top note opens with a light freshness reminiscent of clean bed linens, like freshly washed linen. Unfortunately, the laundry was washed with a detergent that I don’t particularly like. I prefer the sharp, soapy aldehydes, like those in Ariel, and not the White Giant. At this point, I’m not particularly fond of "12 | Twelve | Valjues." However, the purity of this fragrance is quickly interrupted by floral, spicy, and woody undertones that give the scent something appealing.
The heart note develops florally with jasmine, which, in combination with gentle citrus nuances, brings a touch of freshness and lightness. While the fragrance initially seems like just another fresh laundry scent, it takes an interesting turn in the heart with jasmine, cashmere, and Iso E-Super. However, it doesn’t become too woody, which is often the case with other fragrances in this category. Iso E-Super remains quite perceptible in this floral composition for a long time. Unfortunately, this fragrance note always has a slightly biting quality for me, like the smell of old sneakers in the sports locker room... In the base note, warm musk dominates, giving the fragrance a cozy quality, similar to snuggling into soft, fragrant bed linens, and I do like that, not always, but sometimes I crave it.
