Portable dry leather scent without Wow for everyday use
A dry, leathery, aromatic fragrance that unfortunately does not impress me as strongly as hoped.
Undoubtedly wearable, quite pleasant, but (unfortunately) not a beast mode.
With a scent from a "leather jacket house," the expectation for an "Imperial Leather" is something strong, captivating, surprising, and more animalistic.
The desired Wow unfortunately did not occur.
I don't notice the bergamot in the top notes. The spiciness from cardamom and geranium, as well as the dry, woody leather, are immediately present. After a few hours, the scent becomes a bit softer and sweeter. After four hours, the Cuir Impérial is already close to my skin, despite initially applying five sprays on my wrist and then another two a bit later.
Maybe it holds better on clothing... whether perhaps a bit more sweetness and animality would have done it good (layering will show)... in fact, enthusiasm is now lacking.
Given the lack of Wow and the (unexpectedly) short longevity on my skin, I can only give it a 7.5 for a leather scent that deserved a better reception.
However, due to a moderate purchase price, the disappointment is very low, especially since it is undoubtedly suitable for everyday use.
