Here’s another absolute low-budget recommendation from Zimaya: the Zukhruf Cherry, which can already be referred to as a dupe for "Lost Cherry (Eau de Parfum) | Tom Ford." In my opinion, Zimaya is a brand that hovers slightly under the radar and is somewhat unjustly overshadowed by brands like Lattafa. The range is not that huge, but the releases are really great. Zimaya is a brand from Afnan, which is also famous for Arabic cheapies & clones. Here we have another cherry scent. A note that is very hyped, similar to passion fruit, pistachio, and other trends. Cherry a la Lost Cherry has been extremely hyped for the last 2-3 years. I don’t find this unjustified, as this note is quite special and also pleasant to wear. Many dupes (including those in drugstores) have shown that Tom Ford is quite overpriced and that it can be done much cheaper. I can highly recommend this Zukhruf Cherry, just like the releases from Maison Alhambra. You can already get this EdP for under €20 for 100ml, which is really unbeatable for such great quality. It should be on your radar if you are looking for a cheaper alternative to TF. Moreover, this one is constantly available and not often sold out.
The packaging of the fragrance is really beautiful and slightly niche. You get a great box that you can pull out, very elegant. The bottle is in the mid-range and rather typically kitschy in the Arabic cheapie style. It’s not ugly, and everything works perfectly. Fitting the cherry theme, you get a red bottle.
Officially, this fragrance is categorized as a women’s fragrance. This cherry DNA a la Lost Cherry is very soft and is rather designed for women. Men who enjoy this DNA can of course also grab this one, as this cherry aroma is theoretically wearable by anyone. It slightly reminds one of those delicious cherry lollipops. From the scent description, there are not many surprises, but this fragrance still convinces if you like this famous cherry DNA. The scent is sweet-fruity and also gourmand: on one hand, a normal sweet-fruity cherry is used, and on the other hand, a slightly darker black cherry. These complement each other well, and with almond, a gourmand and slightly marzipan-like note is added. A juicy plum can also be sensed. In the base, notes like vanilla & tonka come in, which of course belong in such a sweet creation. Moreover, these notes set in earlier, giving you this wonderful sweet-fruity-gourmand DNA. Soft woods (especially sandalwood) also come to the fore quite a bit from hour 2-3. Overall, a very balanced blend that is quite easy to wear and enjoy. This fragrance shines best in leisure time but offers many occasions. Also in terms of performance, this fragrance is versatile. It clearly falls into the mid-range and is not too much for everyday wear. The scent is perceptible close to the skin for several hours, and the longevity should be around 6 hours. Overall, very successful, especially for casual wear.
All in all, a really great cherry cheapie that I can absolutely recommend. I have tested many fragrances with this note, and this one is definitely worth it in terms of price-performance ratio.
