How to keep your old splash bottle for many years.

At least in theory it should be easy to keep a perfume; just keep it away from light, holding it inside his own box, and stay away from heat sources.
Unfortunately it's not enough.
The biggest enemy of a perfume is the ' evaporation , a phenomenon that affects indiscriminately any old perfume, even in the presence of its cap.

Evaporation is terrible because not only eliminates the scent from the bottle, but also because changes the scent itself . First begin to evaporate the so-called "top notes," and this is enough to change the set of a perfume.

If you do not take precautions, all the old fragrances undergo evaporation. On average, after 35 years every perfume is evaporated in at least one component.

Those who want to keep their old perfumes have to take some precautions.

Possible precautions are two:
1 - use of small caps, the "internal caps."
2 - use of a membrane (or tape), with which wrap the bottle.

Between the membranes, if they can remember two: the tape "teflon" tape, used by plumbers (" thread seal tape " ), and the membrane " Parafilm " type (ie, a thin sheet of extensible paraffin used for sealing), not easy to find, but immensely practical and, above all, effective.
