Elaboration of homemade perfumes.

My curiosity and love for smells has been dormant for as long as I can remember. The elaboration of perfumes has always caught my attention. I find it fascinating and magical how through different techniques you can extract the essence of flowers, stems, branches, roots... in short, obtain the soul of nature. Although many essences already start from the synthetic.
When I was a child I played with my friends to make essences by crushing wild flowers (poor flowers), you can imagine the concoction we obtained.
This curiosity encouraged me one day to experiment at home, in the simplest way.
What I do is macerate flowers, aromatic herbs and fruits (orange blossom, jasmine, roses, lavender, bay leaf, thyme, vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, lemon and orange peel, strawberries...) in alcohol.
Depending on the type of plant I use alcohol with more or less degrees. If they are delicate flowers, I use a lower degree of alcohol. Carrying out new recharges every few weeks to achieve greater concentration.
Then I make the following mixture: I mix the aromatic essences or essential oils that I have chosen, I add a little of the macerations that can go well with the chosen aromas and finally I add the alcohol.
I don't know if I'm doing it right or wrong, but the result is very beautiful and it's gratifying for me to know that it's something I've done myself.
