Something for the quieter days
A fragrance that accompanies me from time to time between October and March. When everything is a bit quieter and one wants to navigate through everyday life in a more contemplative way.

I really like this sweet - somewhat lavender-like - woodiness. It exudes a warm heaviness that I would describe as very pleasant and calm. Exactly how I want to experience our dark, cold months.

In general, the longevity and sillage are not above average, but they fit with what I feel: calm warmth, tranquility. Simply well-rounded!

Flirt with the Nameless Nobody
The sun is shining, the mood is good. A friendly, unassuming guy comes around the corner. At first glance, he seems likable and without any rough edges that one might notice. That's how I would describe Wave. Initially quite citrusy. The mandarin really stands out. Then it becomes more aquatic. However, due to its creaminess, it's not too piercingly shower-gel-like but rather pleasant. Later on, vanilla and a hint of oak moss appear. After that, I can't differentiate much more. But it works for a casual, unpretentious conversation. Deep discussions, however, are a bit of a challenge given the longevity... Cheers!

Knock-Out in Round 1
Clearly a clone of AHSEE. But what an incredible piece! Longevity is still fantastic on clothing and skin even after a day. Great for when a man wants to go out and knows it will be long and turbulent. The friend doesn’t leave your side and stays fresh minty, with tonka bean and pepper not too youthful or shower gel-dimensional.

For my little nose, 95% of the original and indistinguishable. Unfortunately, no longer available directly from Dua in Germany :(

I still don’t get it
Somehow I seem to be confused when I read many reviews here. I just can't get anything out of the scent and unfortunately find it a bit generic, even though it is undisputed that you are buying quality here and the fragrance radiates that. It's just not a scent for men under 50. The base with amber and vetiver paired with the floral notes feels too old-fashioned to me. When I apply the fragrance, I automatically find myself in the well-off best-ager puffer jacket cosmos, only that I (still?!) don't belong there. For everyone who wants to go there, is already there, or likes to wear a tuxedo - give it a try.

In Search of Seriousness
Zino is very special to me and an absolute one-of-a-kind. I came across it because I was looking for a scent similar to Antaeus that also has a somewhat outdated feel. And there I was: in my first job, in my mid-20s, and searching for seriousness and maturity.

The fragrance starts with woody notes and some vanilla. Then floral notes like rose come to the fore. Never overpowering but always present. I still like it even 20 years later, especially in winter. Those who want to swim against the current can carve their own path with Zino. Professional and mature.
