Fruity, sweet, floral, fresh and musky
Upon first spraying Osmanthus, you are greeted with this sweet floral musk with a strong hint of peach. A very beautiful bright and fresh opening, similar to drinking a glass of ice peach tea in the hot summer sun. The Osmanthus and florals does not really fully show itself until the dry down where the peach slowly disappears and it turns into this beautiful balanced floral sweet scent. The musk is always there in the background, providing this comforting deep clean scent without overwhelming the other notes. A powerful fragrance that lasts the whole day with just a couple sprays.
Sweet, fresh and flowery
Smelling it straight from the bottle, it smells overly sweet. Similar to how candy smells, which can easily put some people off. This candy-like sweetness overwhelms the actual deep complexity of the fragrance. Once sprayed on skin, the scent develops into this beautifully balanced sweet, bright and fresh floral scent. I sprayed this and it lasted me throughout the day easily. Even after exercising, and wiping off my sweat, I could still smell remnants of this perfume on my skin. The sillage is pretty strong too considering I could smell it constantly throughout the day without any change in performance. One of the few perfumes that I never experienced any olfactory fatigue from.
Warm, hearty tea scent
This scent gives the scene of a put together person brewing a cup of black tea. It is warm, calming and slow-paced. The cardamom gives a very complex opening, similar to a cup of Chai.
In terms of performance, like all To Summer fragrances, it lasts a long time on my skin and clothes. I can always smell them in the background without experiencing any olfactory fatigue.
If you have ever smelled thé noir 29 from Le Labo, this will be a slight reminiscent of it. Not a dupe per se, but a close cousin. It does give a similar warm, hearty sophisticated black tea scent in the background without being very sweet. I would say it is a more elegant version of thé noir 29. Noir is more sweet, deep and mysterious. This version is lighter, elegant and more sophisticated. If you liked noir but thought it was too strong, this would be perfect for you.
