Sex, drugs and rock and roll, or what?
Yeah, another marketing coup - "cocaine". In any case, everyone who needs to flirt with their knowledge about the smell of cocaine and heroin feels incited. These are, by the way, for all those who think it's really cool, dangerous drugs that really threaten physical and mental health and with which there is no, but also no reason at all to brag. Only the bad-boy image of Rammstein wants to be cultivated. At least the gentlemen musicians are not as impudent in price as a Tom Ford with his synthetic Fucking Fabulous Plörre, whose motives were the same though.
In the orange drugstore today I stumbled over the flacons. For the reasons mentioned above, I would not have had a closer look at the water. What can you expect? Why did I still introduce it to my olfactory cells? Because I was curious to know which scent the gentlemen from Rammstein were talking about and to write their name on it. Actually: there are much worse scents. I find it okay. And I'm also sure there would be much more delighted shouting if an established fragrance creator were to flaunt his name boldly on a higher quality bottle. But that's just in passing.
The bad news first: I think the bottle sucks. The guys from Rammstein, those alleged cuddly cats in the T-Rex costume - are there any more inauthentic? - i think it sucks, the way they sing their lyrics sucks. But sometimes I need this kind of 'music', loud, pithy, brute, martial, aggressive, which serves as an outlet for the dark side of the soul to let off steam, to intertwine into nirvana. Anyone who thinks her perfume smells like that is wrong. The ingredients sound much more wacky and coarse than they really are. The scent is quite sweet. Leather, soft and rather feminine, is there from the beginning. Then it gets smoky, that's probably the burnt wood. For a moment I thought we were dealing with a note of incense, which opens up there, but it disappears quickly. Somehow an association of sweet dark dark chocolate comes to mind, I have no idea where it comes from. Patchouli makes it a bit flowery, but only in the sense of unisex. Cocaine, heroin... that's right... Gasoline, fire... yeah, yeah... Such pompous bullshit! That's where I really get the comb. It's probably a dangerous and explosive property, which the scent doesn't have at all, manipulatively suggested. The desire to improve the image is the father of the idea. To sum up, I can say about Rammstein's excursion into the world of perfume: a nice, sweet, smoky leather scent, unisex, without great scent development - which doesn't mean anything bad - with an acceptable price-performance ratio and definitely something different from the usual little scents found in this price segment. And if I smelled the fragrance on a 16-year-old, I would think 'Wow! This guy has potential to be a major player in perfumery
