Jasmine, for a jasmine hater
After falling in love with a few of Diptyque perfumes, I decided to test all of their line. And, when the time came for Olene, I immediately thought "it is not for me". I really dislike jasmine, I'm not fond of overly green fragrances, and was fully prepared to scrub it off.
I was so wrong. Olene opens in the most beautiful, delicate jasmine tea. It is in full bloom, we get leaves too, and I'm transported next to the jasmin bush in full bloom from my childhood garden.
Then the other flowers start to shine, with the honeysuckle and wisteria, honeyed yet not too sugary.
Needless to say I ended up liking it more than every other samples I tried, and run through my 1.5ml at the speed of light.
Olene is just that beautiful, like the most sunny garden, a tranquil place, ethereal yet approachable, and definitely a bottle I'll add to my tray.
