My miniatures

I have a small but cute (I think) selection of miniature perfumes. I'm not an expert, I'm just a perfume enthusiast, so they may not have any financial value, but I love them just the same. I decided as I am settling in here to show some of my favourites in a little blog post.

I love this little Anna Sui miniature of Sui Dreams. It is so cute even though it isn't old or rare, it speaks to me as a beautiful object.
I love the intricate detail on miniature bottles when you can see the colour of the perfume within reflecting the light is one of my favourite things in the whole world.

This is a bottle of Lalique by Lalique.

My 7.5ml spray bottle of Madam Rochas pure parfum. It reminds me of my mother doing her toilet sitting at her dressing table when I was a child.
White Linen by Estee Lauder is the very first "proper" perfume that I had bought for me back in 1981 when I was only 11 years old. I always make sure that I have a bottle in my collection. However, I found this as well which is a miniature bottle of pure parfum. The golden colour is so reminiscent of the honey note in White Linen even though the bottle is quite plain.
I have various vintage bottles of Miss Dior as it is one of the classics that I adore. This is my Esprit de Parfum miniature bottle.
Miss Balmain and Jolie Madam are those that I love from the house of Balmain. This is my Miss Balmain miniature. It reminds me of a very old bottle of whiskey.

Vent Vert by Balmain isn't a particular favourite fragrance of mine, but I think that this bottle is out of this world nestled in its cute little display box. This is a miniature bottle of pure parfum.
Alchimie by Rochas isn't a particularly old perfume, however, the bottle is just so cute. It reminds me of the story of the Genie in the Bottle. Perhaps if I rub hard enough?
Another perfume miniature that I have for the aesthetic value of the design rather than the age of the perfume. It reminds me of a dancing woman wearing a form fitting gown. This is a miniature of Talisman by Balenciaga.
Ah now this is one of the true classics of 20th century perfume, Joy by Jean Patou. This glass bottle is so tiny and quite plain, hiding the "joy" of the gorgeous fragrance within.
Quite an uninteresting bottle and a tatty box. But I keep this because it is part of the history of the best perfumes that were created by Givenchy in the 20th century. This is L'Interdit by Givenchy.
Another Givenchy miniature, this time of Le De.
The fragrant perfume that is Byzance was given the most opulent design for a bottle. Even though this is just a little miniature, the glory of this classic perfume shines through. Byzance is by Rochas.
This has to be my complete favourite. Apart from the fact that I adore Jolie Madame, this miniscule bottle of parfum looks like it has so many stories to tell. I wish it could sepak. Jolie Madam is by Balmain.
And I finish with the relatively modern Kingdom by Alexander McQueen. The fragrance is to die for, the design of the bottle is heavenly and the little saying on the box of "pierce my heart again", is so tragically poetic!
