Dullrain

The first words that came to my mind were, inexplicably, ‘Crock Pot’. I knew that wasn’t right so I sat with this one for a bit. The metallic notes are nicely done, pretty standard florals, but there was a kitchen note around the edges that I was having difficulty identifying. I then started reading reviews on another site and saw someone comparing this to taco seasoning and that’s when it suddenly clicked into place: this smells like V8. And now I’m even picking up a celery note. By ‘blood’ did they mean Bloody Mary? Probably not, but that’s what I’m getting. Not what I want to smell like but this was a very entertaining ride so kudos for creativity.

I was promised Dark Academia, both through the name and through the reviews, and what I got was cheap strawberry candle. It doesn't smell terrible, even I like to burn a Glade every now and then, but the description for this fragrance is outright deceptive and the price of this for what you get is insane.

Opens with a strong medicinal note, 5 minutes later it's shifted into juniper, cedar, smoke (both palo santo and campfire), pine, and all things herbal and earthy and good. The dry down is something fuzzy and warm that I can't identify. Longevity was a little disappointing. This is an extraordinary fragrance and while I primarily wear unisex frags myself this leans just a touch too masculine even for me.
