With our little ones, we are all probably consistent when it comes to the brightly packaged sweets in the checkout area of the supermarket. I wish my mom had shown that same consistency with herself and paid for shipping instead. As a justification, I can only say that I was in an acute honey scent phase, thought "why not," and hoped that where honey is printed, there would also be honey inside. As if there were even a strawberry or a gram of cream in the strawberry cream candies... The packaging already hinted at it: good things would probably not come from the bottle (spray bottle is the more accurate term here, as I couldn't remember the cap anymore). Still, I sprayed it on optimistically and generously. The opening is surprisingly not very alcoholic, but rather indefinably citrusy. This citrus note dissipates very quickly, and what develops is, yes, what? Furniture polish, and the good kind, from the glass bottle with the little page boy on it, which claims beeswax as its active ingredient. Nothing against beeswax, on the contrary, I love that scent. However, in our family, opinions about this furniture polish vary greatly due to the scent, not the effectiveness. Some find it pleasant and fragrant, while others, myself included, perceive it as harsh and biting. And exactly this scent now clung to me. As if I had thoroughly treated all the wooden furniture in the house with it and used my sweatshirt as a polishing cloth. The intensity of this perfume is breathtaking. So is the longevity. And the projection apparently as well, because when my mother later entered the room, she sniffed and commented: "Oh, it smells freshly cleaned in here!" This gave me the idea of how this achievement could be put to use. As a "just-polished-the-furniture simulator," in case an unannounced state visit is on the way. This, of course, only works until someone runs their finger over the surfaces... One should also be careful when applying it to textiles, as the endurance on fabric is enormous. My sweatshirt still smelled freshly polished days later. Conclusion: a lot of furniture polish for little money, and next time I will choose the candy-free checkout.
