Glad the patchouli information helped, Girasole.

Thanks for explaining about patchouly. I use patchouly oil of food or pharmaceutical quality once in a while. I have always noticed the minty slightly chocolate-y thread that runs through the whole (suffocating) earth-- cellar-- "Help me I've been buried alive!" aspect. Now that I -- thanks to your blog -- know that it belongs to the mint family, I understand that I was not imagining. I've always found that interesting to observe because it's contradictory. Unfortunately, the suffocating aspects dominate, so I'm not too fond of perfumes that are heavy on patchouly- patchouly or patchouly only. Patchouly makes me nervous and uneasy. Dealing with it in the oil form I really have to watch the amount I'm using and the mood I'm in.

I shall! :-)
