Appearance is really not everything
What I feverishly awaited the moment when the postman finally delivered the announced parcel. The bottle was already beautiful on pictures, and unfortunately you couldn't find much about the fragrance on the internet. "I wonder what that could be." - i asked myself. Today I know why, the scent is meaningless.

Do you know that when you meet a beautiful person? And in your mind it is a perfect person, radiant appearance, great voice, ... a dream bubble.

And then that person doesn't talk for five minutes and the dream is over? The bubble burst.

So you have to imagine my feeling with this scent.

Unfortunately I don't smell any of the above notes - it's a jumble of woody notes - it could be Ambroxan, which remains.

The shelf life is medium with about 4-5 hours - the last hour is very close to the skin.

The Sillage is hardly or not at all present - the scent does not shine.

A pity, more appearance than substance.

Desert wind? What pink powder desert has that smell?
Yesterday my eagerly awaited package from Mrs. Toni arrived.

I had blindly ordered the "Desert Wind". In this case a complete blind flight, because except for the notes, you couldn't read much about it on the net - even here, there is no direct rating. Of course I noticed during my search that Mrs. Toni's Desert Wind is probably similar to Mr. Lehmann's Desert Wind (I'll check that, because I already contacted Mr. Lehmann by email and ordered Desert Wind there as well - no answer so far - maybe there will be a parcel every day like some of you here? ;-))

And now for the desert wind:
Well, to be honest, I had imagined something different when I gave the name. Nature-based? Kind of dry-sandy? Shimmering heat?

And also the notes here: Lemon? Not with me - not a piece of citrus. Tonka bean? Well, maybe she makes this powdery note - but it's not the Tonka Bean I know, which is kind of sweet and tart in Waldmeister/Vanilla - no, this one is just powder. Rose and lavender. Yeah, well, that's what I smell in the end:
A mixture of the blue Nivea and the Felce Azzura powder - Nix desert wind.

A classic powdery note, with rose and lavender so attenuated as notes that you only notice their light interplay - but not a note in itself.

About the Sillage: would say, hardly there - I smell myself - but for others I think not perceptible
On durability: not sooooo bad for an EDC. I sprayed it on this morning - about 6 o'clock - and now it's still perceptibly there. But more like the "veil an expensive body lotion"

Conclusion:
would I have bought the fragrance for the 60 euros if I had known all that? No. My expectations were different - I wanted desert wind, not powder puff.

Why did I order from Lehmann if desert wind could not meet my expectations? Because desert wind for the price at Lehmann - should it really be the same EDC - is really a nice "cultivated" scent. You can spray it on from time to time - surely it doesn't rub off with other clean scents.

So if you approach the test completely unbiased and without pictures in your head, desert wind is a beautiful, down-to-earth scent in light concentration. With pictures, it simply misses the point for me.

Wunderwasser - If you feel like something light
Sometimes I like to browse through the "cheap" section of the big department stores. And sometimes I have the luck to discover beautiful scents there, which I would not have noticed otherwise and which are then also priced in the lower segment. This is also what happened to me with the "Wunderwasser". Actually it was more the ice-light blue bottle that did it to me. I simply liked this fresh color

The flacon had to be filled with - and for about 5 EUR? Who could have said no.

Wonder Water is a constant for me. It's fresh, it's not nasty. But it is also fleeting, and very close to the skin - has hardly any sillage that anyone else could notice.

I have associations of clear, cool water. Somewhere there is freshly mowed grass lying somewhere and drying in the sun - maybe one or the other blossom was there, too. But I can't smell any of the notes really, clearly. But your interplay is appropriate and pleasing.

Wunderwasser fits in the office, but also for a weekend stroll. With this scent you don't attract attention - but for yourself it has a well-groomed body scent.

All in all, I would like to have a longer shelf life with the same low sillage.

The smell of the past
Rarely, indeed really very rarely, has a fragrance "picked up" and taken me as much as Pani Walewska - Classic. But I was completely unprepared. I had only been looking for a clean detergent scent - again. And somebody here had recommended this nice little blue bottle. Since it doesn't cost the earth, I had bought it blind in the bay.

The little bottle is one thing above all else - old-fashioned. This dark blue one with the golden tin lid - it doesn't look cheap, nor noble - it looks like a bottle from a long time ago.

Classic is a clean scent. Somehow it smells like a mixture of grandma's perfume, laundry washed with strong-smelling detergent and soap. This scent takes me back to childhood days. When I was often at my grandparents' house on weekends - my mother was working. My grandparents were still of the old breed - in the afternoons the "lunch hour" was still held. Of course I was there too. Grandma always had the bed freshly covered - with light-coloured sheets, washed with this much too strong detergent and dried in the fresh air. And when putting on the sheets they also took on a little bit of my granny's scent. And even if you weren't tired at all, this homely scent mixture made you pleasantly dimly tired...

I can't smell any notes for this fragrance. For me, it's just the fragrance of my past

Durability is about 3 h with strong Sillage - and up to 8 h very close.

The scent of a sea of flowers...
I am not a huge fan of overly floral - or even "flowery" - fragrances. It must not be madamlike with me, and I would not like to smell too mature - yet.

Strange then that I had chosen Vera Wang as one of my few blind purchases. Completely without even having read a description - or looked for it - I clicked my way through until the fragrance was ordered and on its way to me. The bottle, the white packaging, the simple design... some of it will have caused me Not least the price - because for this fragrance something around 20 € is a bargain.

To the fragrance:

I'm not very firm when it comes to botany - I can hardly or not at all smell individual flowers, as I don't know what the individual flowers smell like in general.

For me the course would be simply described:

Head: Rose (one of the few flowers I can clearly smell out)
Heart: white gardenia (in my imagination it is white - no idea if another colour would have a different scent?)
Base: woody notes

The fragrance is wonderfully balanced - it is never too much, and yet always there. I think "neat" is the right word for it. With me he keeps his 8 hours. Sillage is not room filling, but it is also not close to the body.

Vera Wang is one of the few fragrances that I would reach for no matter what the occasion, it does not bother me.

Conclusion: A beautiful fragrance. One of the few floral fragrances in my poison cabinet that I really like - and have liked for a long time.
