The hosts of It's Just Perfume were discussing the declining trend of gourmands and speculating that it may be related to the weather getting warmer in the northern hemisphere. Sweetness can get cloying fast in the heat and humidity. I'm certainly gravitating more towards fresh scents - tea, herbs, lighter and more watery foods - since moving to the tropics. Much like shopping for local and seasonal produce, I think looking at which scents appear naturally in your environment is a good place to start when seeking new fragrances.

I'd rather that my favorite fragrances be seen as boring by others than to overwhelm people around me. I prefer skin scents - clean, fresh, light, and harmonious with both my own (clean) smell and that of the natural environment.

As of right now, the only fragrances I'd want a full bottle of are Fueguia 1833 Quilombo and MMM Replica Matcha Meditation.
d'Annam - Monsoon Tea
DS&Durga - Debaser
Diptyque - L'Eau Papier EDT
One Day - Jasmine Tea
