Scent...candle?
This is my first review here, so please be lenient with me!

The postman just arrived with my long-awaited fragrance samples, Delina and Delina la Rosée. I sprayed Delina, the original, first on my left wrist. A few minutes later, I applied Delina la Rosée on my right. Admittedly, I was looking forward more to the rosier variant, as the popular vanilla & musk combination in the base note usually doesn’t smell good on me (I am very envious of everyone on whom vanilla/musk smells good).

Lychee, rhubarb, and bergamot are immediately present as top notes, a bit sour, but not particularly special to me yet. Shortly thereafter, a hint of spice creeps in, likely nutmeg, I suspect. I have never encountered this note in any perfume before and found it very interesting. But just before I could really take in this spice, the scent already turns sweet and rosy. The delicate lily of the valley gets a bit overshadowed by the roses for me.

When the base notes started to mix in, I became a bit puzzled. I know this scent! But from where? Scented candles? Or the strongly scented rose soap in my great-aunt's bathroom? Maybe both. For me, the scent now definitely smells soapy. Whether that is good or bad is up to each person. The soapiness only slowly diminishes.

The perfume is a bit too strong for my nose, which I had almost suspected (this was also a plus point for the la Rosée variant). Personally, I don't like the soapy aspect that much, especially at such a proud price. I am still testing the longevity, despite slight headaches. I will pass the remaining sample to my sister, who has also had her eye on Delina and hopefully will enjoy it more!

The perfume might smell much better on you, dear reader, so it's best to form your own opinion :)
