Cigar at its best!
"Cigar" was a blind buy! Discovered here by chance and ordered blindly from the big online retailer. Sprayed it on directly last night... and yes, I like it! The bottle is a bit unwieldy in my eyes, but it comes in a chic tin.

But how does "Cigar" smell now? It feels very familiar to me, although I don't know which perfume smells similar! Bergamot and lemon in the opening, could be. But these two only form the opening for seconds. After that, the strong notes come to the fore. Basil, jasmine, nutmeg, sandalwood, and especially the tobacco note characterize the cigar!

Hordak mentions something about freshness, which I cannot detect in the scent.

As mentioned, at this price, a blind buy is a must! I can't think of more words for this inexpensive creation!

Too Soft to Evaluate
Only now am I writing a comment about this fragrance. I’ve had it on both a strip and my skin several times while visiting various stores. But then, strangely enough, I forgot about it again and didn’t pay any further attention... but why?

It’s probably because it was just too soft. "Bleu de Chanel" starts off slightly citrusy; there might be grapefruit involved, which then slowly fades away... a light woody note follows, supported by a bit of vetiver. Not bad at all!
But I have to press my nose against the skin spot soon to catch a whiff at all. Normally, when I’m lying on the sofa like I am now, a scent wafts into my nose repeatedly, but with "Bleu de Chanel," there’s absolutely nothing.

Very unfortunate, as it didn’t start off that badly, but unfortunately became too soft and insignificant... therefore no percentage rating!

Exactly My Thing (at the Moment)
Since I am currently totally into the fougère genre, I like this one more and more. I've had the sample in my collection for a few months now, but I haven't really taken care of it. But why?

Because I have real trouble breaking down the scent. Is it a fougère? Where would I want to place it? Or is it something woody instead? It's very hard to interpret! Even extracting individual notes is difficult for me here. No matter what I read from the fragrance note list, I don't find it at all through my nose with this Knize.

After multiple tests, I simply lack the words to describe it. However, I will add it to my wishlist, as it is indeed exactly my thing...

The Theme of Lavender
"Oxford & Cambridge" is something truly beautiful, here you get a pure lavender scent. After spraying, my nose perceives something citrusy, the only ingredient for this would be bergamot. But this only lasts a moment and is immediately overpowered by the lavender.
I try to perceive something else, but the lavender is the absolute dominator. After wearing it for over an hour and some lackluster sniffing, you can then smell again on your wrist, and I think that a nuance of change unfolds. I believe I can catch a hint of freshness. Could that be the oakmoss trying to soften the lavender a bit?
These are all vague assumptions on my part, as I really only smell the lavender. And that’s a good thing when you have a lavender perfume in front of you. That’s exactly how I imagine it.

If I didn’t already have the MPH from Washington Tremlett, this would be a perfume I would buy immediately. However, to be honest, one scent of this kind is enough for me. For anyone interested in this fragrance direction, definitely give it a try!

Mix it!
Apicius explains it correctly... the Mukhallat is a well-made blend. I've had the roller in my collection for a while now, and rarely used it. However, for some time now, I have come to love it.

However, it is hard to describe. There is a strong floral base note that includes the typical Montale hairspray note. Actually, I don't like this hairdresser stuff at all, at least when it comes to Montale. With this oil, you find that certain something! The Mukhallat comes across really beautifully.

Oud is probably included, as it swings in the direction of Montale. I can't perceive the other notes that Apicius mentions; the mix is too good. For a price of under €5 for the roller, you get a lovely perfume oil.

A secret tip for little money!
