My beach scent
Qaed al Fursan was a blind buy and my blind purchases of Arabic fragrances have so far been well... not necessarily crowned with success. Nevertheless, I wanted to give this little treasure a chance for less than 15 euros, as I was looking for THE perfect beach/holiday fragrance.
The delivery arrived and I was so impatient that I opened the package directly at the packing station. As is usual with Arabic perfumes, the bottle is very beautiful (and I think it matches the contents perfectly). But it's the scent that counts. So, I took off the cap and took a sniff... Coconut, vanilla, buttery, a slightly fruity note. YES, not a bad buy, my nose told me straight away and I was happy to spray the fragrance on immediately. What hit me then, however, was a somewhat unpleasant synthy hit and the coconut was suddenly no longer so delicious. Something smelled off-putting. I packed the bottle up again and made my way home a little disappointed, already thinking that I had made the next bad purchase. When I got home, I smelled my sleeve again and, to my astonishment, what I smelled was much more pleasant than it had been 30 minutes before. Now the buttery, pleasant coconut-vanilla note finally came through, mixed with sun cream, but not too sweet, just right (plus a slightly fruity note, which is probably supposed to be pineapple).
Just great and almost exactly what I was looking for. The smell reminds me a little of Hawaiian Tropic sun cream mixed with coconut oil.
The scent immediately transports me to a sandy beach at 30 degrees, with salty sea air, sizzling on a beach lounger, a pina colada in my hand and surrounded by a gentle cloud of Qaed al Fursan fragrance.
Longevity and sillage are average, in my opinion both could be a little more intense, but at this price it doesn't hurt to spray more often.
The fragrance is not an office fragrance for me, but exclusively a summer outdoor vacation fragrance.
Qaed al Fursan will definitely be with me on my next beach vacation.
