Tipsy Date
For a long time, I was totally crazy about Dior fragrances. My wish was to own all the special editions, and I bought a few blindly. A mistake with "Dior me, Dior me not"! Because in the end, after plucking the Dior flower petals, this one really says "NOT" to me.
The reason is, it suggests fresh aquatics, but already in the top note, it arrives tipsy for the first date. I'm NOT DIORmüsed!!!
So we sit silently across from each other and wait out the intoxication. In the meantime, I remember an escapade with a cheap plum liqueur in my younger years. Just smelling that swill today makes me feel sick. Great, thanks!!! For this candidate, it should be a tipsy pear, NOT a little plum. Really?
Do you have a heart, or NOT? Don't burp, pear. Go away! I think the flowers have just fainted and probably won't show up today.
Come on, drink a little water. That's good, now you'll slowly become yourself, aquatic-alcoholic sweet. I really don't need that. I want to leave now and would rather sit under a blooming cherry tree than continue to chew the sweet wood with this candidate, just to get rid of the fermenting taste/scent.
Now it's falling asleep!!! I can't believe it! I'm leaving!
"Don't DIOR me, I'll DIOR you! And goodbye!"

Awakened in a Floral Dream
You wake up! Before you open your eyes, you can already feel it: The sun is shining today.
The sheets are soft and fresh, your body feels warm and secure. A delicate floral scent wafts around your nose. It tickles a bit.
You open your eyes... and realize you are not in your bedroom!
Still, you remain calm, sitting on the large majestic bed and looking around. High ceilings, enormous windows that seem to be ajar, as the curtains gently sway and cast dancing shadows on the fabric-covered wall. On the nightstand, you discover a bouquet of violets.
Now, out of bed! With your flowing bathrobe, you explore the room, look through the huge windows, and gaze into a well-kept park-like garden. Are you still dreaming?
So quickly to the bathroom. Cold water on your face will provide the answer.
The bathroom is enormous! You have an incredible urge to dance. Bowls with flowers are placed in every corner, the floral scent momentarily makes you feel dizzy. You take a deep breath and now you enjoy this floral shower.
You turn around and are startled for a moment. A huge mirror hangs on the wall.
What do you see?
A happy woman! The delicate morning robe hugs and flatters your body. You enjoy the beauty of the rooms, the flowers, the pleasant tranquility, the femininity.
The framing sometimes helps us to break out of the familiar and often frightening form. We have options to choose and change the frame. It can be a new perfume, a silk kimono, a piece of jewelry, a weekend in a castle, or a small bouquet on the nightstand.
Alizée lets you dream, makes you beautiful, holds you gently in an embrace of flowers, warms you at the base with sandalwood and vanilla.
A very fine, noble scent.
By the way, Alizée is the French form of Alice, which is the English variant of Adelheid and translates to trade wind, gentle breeze, the noble one, the distinguished one.

Jacky Kennedy in a dark green angora sweater
Why is this fragrance called "Youth Dew"? This question has been asked here more than once.
I now have a theory:
When you wear Youth Dew, you always feel younger than the scent you are wearing. Thus, the perfume suggests to you that it must have been created before your time, even if this may not be true in all cases.
Here’s a list (I love lists) of what Youth Dew is for me:
Youth Dew is sublime, elegant, mature, festive. And yet mysterious.
The scent is like a walk in a pine forest, the ground is mossy and damp. Grounded and spicy. Youth Dew is like a dark green angora sweater. It is the smell in my grandmother's closet. It smells like an exquisite ladies' coffee gathering. But beware, it hisses "A lady's age is not to be asked!!!" It is a shield! Youth Dew is Jacky Kennedy.
And now the reverse: What Youth Dew is NOT for me:
Youth Dew is not Marilyn Monroe. It is not ordinary and bland, not naive and accommodating. Youth Dew is not a summer scent. It is not blonde and not a teenager. Not wearable with a pastel petticoat dress. Not fluffy and not aquatic. And definitely not mainstream.
You can be Jacky Kennedy, even if you don't own a dark green angora sweater. You can get the Youth Dew feeling. The only thing you have to do is
a) be brave and
b) look for Youth Dew on the lower shelves in the perfumery.

Lily of the Valley at the Swimming Pool
Escape is a fragrance that divides opinions; some want to run away from it, while for others it is fresh, aquatic, delicate, like an escape from everyday life. The name fits both groups: ESCAPE!
I associate CK fragrances with coolness, yes, coolness! You can find that in this bottle too!
The scent is from the early 90s, yet timeless, just like the bottle, which appears simple and at the same time coolly elegant. It reminds me of Art Deco design and then again of a plain salt shaker;-)
Keyword: salt. Is it "salt on my skin" or just chlorine? In any case, all the notes of Escape are drowned and lose their intensity. What I can perceive are at best drowned flowers, especially the lily of the valley. The scent is always understated, but unfortunately also not outstanding. I really like the base note. The combination of musk, sandalwood, and vetiver is very pleasant and not overwhelming.
Wearable for all mermaids who long for the sea but are currently sitting in the office... and would rather run away. ESCAPE!!!

Maneater - she only come out at night
Maneater - lyrics by Daryl Hall and John Oates
"She'll only come out at night
The lean and hungry type
Nothing is new, I've seen her here before
Watching and waiting
She's sitting with you but her eyes are on the door
So many have paid to see
What you think you're getting for free
The woman is wild, a she-cat tamed by the purr of a Jaguar
Money's the matter
If you're in it for love you ain't gonna get too far
Oh here she comes
Watch out boy she'll chew you up
Oh here she comes
She's a maneater
Oh here she comes
Watch out boy she'll chew you up..."
This song immediately came to mind when I applied Dark Rose. This fragrance is dark, it robs me of my senses. It is gloomy and I know it is evil, but it draws me in like a magnet; I have to keep smelling my wrist.
Blood rose - yes definitely, it is a vampire femme fatale.
And more. It is the fiery scorpion in a dress of roses, the wicked stepmother of Snow White, the serpent from the garden of paradise... The sirens beckon, a powerful manipulative black-red magnet.
Total seduction!
Fatal seduction!
I turn away, because that is not me. I do not want to eat the apple, I do not want to be immortal, fire and heat burn me.
I am now turning to a new song lyric "Don't flirt with me..." by Götz Alsmann
