"Ylang Spirit" by Mizensir: A Fragrance Like a Summer Afternoon

With "Ylang Spirit", the Swiss label Mizensir unveils a new unisex fragrance that olfactorily captures the sensual languor of hot summer days. 

Ylang Spirit evokes the moments that pause under a blazing sun, when the air vibrates with a languid gentleness and a luminous sensuality. Those moments when the overwhelming heat invites you to do nothing and makes you surrender and contemplate. It is the scent of a day that stretches out in a golden longing, while the light dances on the whitewashed walls and every breath of air touches the skin like a caress.

The composition, created by Alberto Morillas, opens with a refreshing citrus accord of bergamot and mandarin, embedded in the ambery facets of ambrox. At the heart, a floral interplay of Egyptian jasmine absolute, ylang-ylang and modern molecules of hedione, Muscenone® and Paradisone® unfolds, accentuated by incense. The base is a warm accord of bourbon vanilla, benzoin and musk, which lends the fragrance depth and a creamy, enveloping softness.

The Eau de Parfum "Ylang Spirit" is inspired by lazy, sun-drenched summer afternoons. This understated elegance is also reflected in the design: the gold-lacquered glass flacon bears a gold-plated plaque and is topped with a shiny zamak stopper.

I wanted to capture the languor of summer afternoons, when the oppressive heat slows down time and everything becomes magnetic. Umbrellas sway in a barely perceptible breeze, bodies doze at the edge of a shimmering pool. Only the fleeting freshness of citrus touches the skin before fading into the luminosity of ylang-ylang and jasmine. Finally, creamy vanilla combined with benzoin prolongs this golden torpor, like a day you never want to see end.Alberto Morillas

Founded in 1999 by Alberto Morillas and his wife, Mizensir developed from a brand for scented candles and room sprays into a perfume house in its own right.
