not a dusty classic!
L'Air du Temps belongs, like Chanel No. 5, Arpege by Lanvin, and Joy by Jean Patou, to the "old" great classics among the aldehydic floral perfumes.
L'Air du Temps is still a successful classic after so many years, which is neither dusty nor has lost any of its magic!
It is still very much loved and worn by women of all ages.
What I particularly like about this perfume is that it can be worn on many occasions, even for special events!
The top note begins here with a slightly fresh-floral note, herb-scented rose followed by aldehydes, which conjure a light to moderate soapy scent into this elixir.
This scent of the aldehydes is not scratchy, sharp, or even artificial, but very pleasant, reminiscent of mild soap!
Carnation and also geranium/leaf are rather moderately represented in the heart base note!
In the base note, the carnation and also geranium/leaf remain very present, and these two ingredients receive a spicy note from a light touch of vetiver and sandalwood.
The sweet-woody scented sandalwood is here present in moderation and fits exceptionally well with the aldehydic floral notes.
Additionally, this beautiful scent becomes nicely velvety and slightly powdery in the base note.
The longevity of this wonderful perfume can be rated as good to very good!
This perfume, created in 1948, with its beautiful bottle by Lalique, symbolizes the long-awaited peace after the terrible Second World War with the dove couple as a closure!

A Cologne with Tradition 4711
4711 is the classic among Eau de Colognes!
At first application, a refreshing citrus note hits me, but unfortunately it fades quickly.
Then a light "gum note" develops for me.
However, it only lasts a short time, which is a pity; it doesn't come off as artificial, but rather pleasantly!
For hot days, and for a quick refresh, 4711 is highly recommended!!
I think it shows great popularity; otherwise, this Eau de Cologne wouldn't have been around since 1792, but would have long disappeared from the market!
In Cologne, there is the famous traditional house 4711 located at Glockengasse 4, which has been around for a very long time!
Be that as it may, 4711 is a nice affordable Eau de Cologne that is worn by both men and women all over the world, and has been for a very long time :)
