Conflict over this overused fragrance
Dior Sauvage EDT, to me, is quite similar to that YG Marley song "Praise Jah in the Moonlight", that is, I used to enjoy it but after being inundated by it for so long I simply cannot stand it any longer.
Sauvage EDT isn't necessarily a bad fragrance. Overrated? Yes. Overused? Absolutely. However, after swearing against wearing it for over a year and my nose being lucky enough to avoid being abused by it since then, I've decided to try it and realized that, while being far from the best fragrance out there, it is pleasant and versatile.
Nevertheless, I find it quite difficult to rate Sauvage EDT objectively as, while I do find it to be a good scent, it's exceedingly rare that you won't have smelled it everywhere over a billion times. Now you might ask yourself "Why is a common fragrance so bad?" and that's a good question; a fragrance being common doesn't inherently make it bad. However, the overexposure of this sharp, synthetic fragrance completely sullies it and transforms it into a vile composition you wish had never touched your olfactory senses.
In closing, it's a decent scent that has been overused and made nauseating which is why it's highly unlikely I'll ever wear it again.
