Lavender DNA
I think the house of Laboratorio Olfattivo has a lavender-y DNA. Therefore, this is very aromatic and spicy (i sense some clove), while I was expecting something more syrupy and ambery. I cannot get past the screechy top notes, and the scent actually made me gag, which is very unusual of me. Sorry!
Powdery amber
I was on a quest for the perfect amber, and I reached the following conclusion: there is no unique perfect amber, but several perfect ambers. This particular scent has a sharp spicy opening, so sharp that I think it isn't suitable for winter because it would become too screechy, and a powdery musky dry-down.
The thyme and nutmeg are really present in here, but their aromatic notes disappear around the 15 minute mark. Then, the patchouli comes to stay until the late dry-down. While it does have some traditionally masculine elements, I do believe this is truly unisex. This isn't syrupy like other ambers, so keep that in mind if you were looking for a cosy, vanillic fragrance!
All in all, I enjoy wearing this scent on cooler spring or fall days.

I didn't believe the hype...
... but I should have!
This is a dense vanilla with a very strong cardamom top note, which initially made me wary of this scent. Historically, cardamom has been my most-hated note ever, because it's usually too sickly sweet and doesn't blend well with the rest of the notes, and of course, because my skin decides to amplify it. But here it's not the case! I can feel that cardamom is needed here to bring some spicy aspects and some freshness into an otherwise very heavy fragrance.
And speaking of heavy fragrance, this is exactly what I like: balmy balsams, sweet-ish resins, woody notes and powdery aspects. This vanilla is dark, sultry yet cosy at the same time. A must try, even if you don't believe in hyped products.

Supple leather and castoreum
This is elegant, classy and bold at the same time. It's a supple suede leather without its dirty animalic aspects (so, no birch tar here). Something reminds me of
Salome , must be the castoreum resembling the hyraceum in there, or the musks in both? There's also something almost mentholated in here, as if there were some liquorice or anise seed, but maybe it's the animalic notes again that give this type of scent profile.
This is very pleasant in any case, so don't be afraid of the traditionally difficult to wear notes in here. They're downplayed and they purr instead of roar. Very feline: I would say that if you like
Lune Féline Eau de Parfum and
21 Felanilla, you'll enjoy this.

What happened ?
I don't know what happened. Did the top notes evaporate? Did my nose and perception change? In any case, at the beginning I thought this was way too aromatic and masculine leaning. But now, I can sense the iris and vanilla very clearly, and it is glorious! The perfume is powdery and resinous at the same time, and the vanilla is gooey and dense. Glorious!
