When the panda puts on swim trunks...
then he sprays himself with it first :-)
Fraîcheur Végétale de Bambou was for a long time a favorite scent of my partner, but she only wore it during the summer months. Because this fragrance is simply not one for autumn or winter. It is fresh, has a pleasantly grassy/herbaceous quality with a - in my opinion - slight citrus note. The fact that the scent is called bamboo has its justified reason. Anyone who has ever stood among a collection of bamboo trees will recognize this distinctive scent. And Yves Rocher has captured this scent very well. However, I cannot attest to it having a diverse structure and multifaceted depth. It is quite "simply constructed" and focuses mainly on freshness. It is just a good summer fragrance that you can easily spray on in between. It can't and doesn't want to be more than that, but that's enough.

"Besser als wie man denkt."
Do you remember that grammatically painful slogan from the mid-2000s, which Verona Pooth squeaked into German living rooms every evening via advertising television?! She even sold her own clothing line at the discount textile company that has only 3 letters and starts and ends with K. And exactly this phrase comes to mind when I think of this fragrance. I needed new sports socks the other day, and since I'm a penny pincher, I quickly dashed into the aforementioned store to grab a few cotton coverings for my dirty feet :-) What used to be (and still is) the impulse buys (Kinder Surprise eggs, candies, chocolate bars, etc.) at the checkout is now the perfume stand in close proximity to the register at K++.... I can't help it; I have to stop and smell.
My mind says: How can it smell good if it only costs €2.99? Come on, save your money! You have a closet full of perfumes and especially dupes! Move on, there's nothing for you here." But my nose says, as I sniff No. 1 from RêvArôme: "WOW, THIS SCENT IS AMAZING!" Admittedly: When I'm at K*, I always take a whiff at the shelf with the fragrances. I've bought some dupes there too. Just because I'm a bargain hunter and a notorious perfume junkie. Among my conquests, there have been some really nice scents, while other spontaneous purchases turned out to be quite a misstep and spent their remaining existence, at best, as scent-masking waters on the guest toilet.
But this fragrance will definitely not end that way! It starts fruity-orange, really pleasantly sweet without being overly sweet. The fruitiness is perfectly supported by a slightly herbal undertone (it should be rosemary). I also find that there is a significant vanilla undertone that I really like. Although vanilla is not mentioned in the fragrance pyramid, it doesn't matter: I can smell it.
Oh yes, almond is supposed to be in there too: I can definitely confirm that; the almond note is quite pronounced. The combination is quite successful and I really like it! Inspired by this aroma and completely caught up in my shopping spree, I later even buy No. 2 from RêvArôme. I will surely write something about that later, but separately from this comment.
Now back to RêvArôme No. 1: After a while, I happily sniff at my wrist on the way home in the car, delighted by the super bargain I made, and I'm even more pleased: The sweetness has lost some strength and the fragrance is becoming a bit more masculine-woody. This scent effect is truly excellent! Now, 4 hours after the purchase, the fragrance is still very noticeable, but probably only because my endorphins have made their way through my skin to the scent and have formed an olfactory union with No. 1 :-) Based on my original intention to buy, I am now literally "blown away": What a bargain, what an amazing scent, considering what the original from Guerlain costs! I am totally thrilled.
I highly recommend buying it! And if you don't like it, at least you have a great scent for the little room.

Smells like Dad!
This fragrance has a special effect on me, as it is one of the scents my late father used to wear. On him, L'instant always smelled very fresh and slightly sweetened, yet it still felt elegant and refined, and there was always a hint of the Orient, probably due to the patchouli and sandalwood. He never overdid it with the number of sprays, but he was always noticeable from afar. As I said, I really love the fragrance blend; it is truly wonderful and varied, with a corresponding rich depth. I can easily imagine this scent as a delightful backdrop for "sitting on the terrace in the evening sun," but also suitable for a business dinner or an official occasion. As for longevity, I can only say that during various day trips with my father, I could smell him in the morning and still perceive that freshness late in the afternoon. So, really very good longevity! Perhaps due to the biographical connection with this fragrance, I am a bit less critical or more nostalgic, but regardless: I can only recommend L'instant!

Miami Vice in a Bottle
If Denim Musk is anything, then it’s FRESH. The freshness hits you right from the first spray. Oh, what do I mean by "hits you," the mint slams into your sniff receptors with full force. Mint and lemon race in the olfactory bulb and finally make themselves comfortable on the synapses. If one were to translate the scent into a film, it would look like this: "Sonny" Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs are racing across the water in their speedboat, stylishly chasing the bad guys of the drug cartel (sunglasses, rolled-up jacket, bare feet in loafers). The sun is blazing, the water is splashing high, and the wind is blowing through the voluminous hair. It doesn’t get more 80s than this, and that’s why I love the scent: mint is clearly at the forefront, patchouli also comes through nicely, and then there’s the distinctive scent of moss. For "nostalgics" like me, Denim is a bullseye.

Elegant - a good twin!
I am a big fan of the La Rive dupes. They usually do a great job with the twin-making - my compliments for that! And here with Elegant, they really nailed it with La Rive - I still have the Intenso as a sample in my closet, and during a direct sniff comparison, you can tell that it's damn close to the original.
Lavender, wood, tobacco perfectly balanced - so, everything that makes the REAL MAN happy:-)
So bargain hunters and fragrance junkies, take note: Buy, buy, buy, buy, buy!
Elegant is still available (or at least comes back from time to time) in the usual drugstore chains.
