THIS IS THE ONE
This is the ultimate "can't keep my hands off my boyfriend wearing a flannel shirt in our cabin" scent. I don't get much spice or green pepper, but oh, do I get clean, dry cedar with subtle background notes.
It's masculine, long-lasting, smooth, and obscenely attractive. It's an Hermes masterpiece.
Sillage is barely noticeable, but all the better to bring your woman (or man) close to you to discover how incredible you smell.
A soapy masterpiece
Fun fact: Chanel No. 5 created the "soap" scent that soap companies copied to scent their soap, not the other way around.
That said, Chanel No. 5 must have been the most incredible, modern, extraordinarily unique scent when it was released in 1921. Today, we've all been raised using soap scented with elements from Chanel No. 5, and i personally can't get past it. I absolutely adore this scent, not only for its history, but for its layered, soapy-clean-calming-floral scent. If only I had been born in a different era...
