Ahmed Al Maghribi's Aqua Oud ( a comprehensive review)
~~FORETHOUGHT~~
This is not AI generated lmao , all things written below is me , I like to tell about a fragrance as if its a story . I like to write :)
~~THE SCENT~~
It's Strong. The opening has marine and aquatic vibes. Fresh citruses from the bergamot uplifts your mood instantly--But soon the citruses start becoming dull and the scent started to get sweeter -- the aquaticness felt more present -- Soon , although the citruses will remain throughout -- The herbalness or the aromatics -- hard to pin one exactly started to climb up .
The Dry Down . Halfway through the journey towards the dry down I felt the incense getting heavier. Although I can't identify most of the notes , very few . Somehow Felt Incense and Patchouli dominated . Some Sweetness to it as well.
That’s the most I could make of.
BUT Here's The TWIST…
Amidst all this , I always smell a Coca Cola like note in there , I am sure its a perceived note but I honestly hate it . It's like A Fizzy Sour Coca Cola , even though I tried to understand the scent , while keeping this thing out of my mind -- it just kept coming back -- And this coca cola note is just very present for me in the dry down.
~~PERFORMANCE~~
Really Good
On skin gives around 5 ish hours with good projection.
On Clothes its Nearly beast mode. Projects well for 1.25–2 hours, and sillage is strong. Lasts easily 8+ hours on fabric.
~~SEASON~~
Definitely a summer frag--but go light on the sprays. I wore it to a Big family occasion and my sister absolutely hated it and so did some others. Feels a bit polarizing .
Also, I wouldn’t recommend using this in spring even if you're the type to wear summer frags year-round.
~~CONCLUSION~~
Honestly , Didn't like it at all . Its just not it . Smelling like a coca cola jello , Yeah No... There are far better scents that I would pick over this one. But Don't be disappointed if you were thinking to try it out , you should try it out. Most folks who tried it out liked it . But You have to experience a scent to actually decide -- Always remember no review can ever be enough (until they tell you it's really bad , then you may wanna listen to them haha)
