I found this by searching at Beauty Encounter:
Scuba by Scuba.

Could that be it?

You're on the right track, SystemD. The next hint is in your guess.

Nope.

Time for a little review and another hint:
1. This perfume could have been Jacques Cousteau's own personal signature scent.
2. The bottle design for this perfume might have been more appropriate in the shape of a regulator.
3. Part of this perfume's name was inspired by Jacques Cousteau's improvement to the aqua-lung design. No, not the Jethro Tull album.

Mistral Male
by Mistral Fragrances

According to Wikipedia: "The first Cousteau-Gagnan Aqua-Lungs (like the CG45 of 1945 or the Mistral of 1955) were mainly twin-hose open-circuit scuba."

WRONG, Gresolon. Look at you answer a bit closer. You're almost there.

Not so much, Epimedes. Give it another go.

So, if it's contained in the word SCUBA and it's neither self-contained or underwater, it must be "The Breathing Apparatus" by Violette Market?

CORRECT, Triffid. GOOD JOB!

During the 1940s, Cousteau is credited with improving the aqua-lung design which gave birth to the open-circuit scuba (self-contained underwater breathing apparatus) technology used today.

Whew! Glad to put that one to rest! I think we were all circling the target without actually hitting it.
Here's my offering - it's probably too easy after that last one, but here goes.
It's a riddle. We are looking for TWO fragrances, folks.

From the same house
They share part of their name,
Of Christian belief
Though more different than same;

Opposites, yes,
But affection is there,
They sell themselves well,
They're a popular pair;

She dressed for her wedding,
All virtue and passion,
But her funeral attire,
Was the opposite fashion;

Their names hold all colours,
But paradoxically, none,
Both lightness and darkness
When all's said and done.

Love this poem, Triffid. Now on to solving the fragrance at hand.

I'm going to go with
Jesus del Pozo, "In Black"
and
Jesus del Pozo, "In White"

Congratulations Flaconneur, you are CORRECT!
SystemeD, you are ALSO correct, although I didn't have that house in mind when I wrote the riddle. The house clue was "Christian faith" (Creed) but your answer covered that perfectly as well.
Well done both of you - you can decide amongst yourselves who goes next.

Flaconneur answered first, and his answer matched your intent, so I think he gets to post the next one!

Thanks, SystemD. I will post first thing tomorrow. I still love Triffid's poem.
