Naw, it's not "Not a Perfume".
The house is not a part of the image because it's one of those perfume houses named after the designer.

The key to the perfume name is the frame. If you asked a famous author called Chuck he'd be able to tell you straight away.

Well, I'm intrigued! As a former photographic printing veteran, I did notice that the image is in colour but the film frame clearly belongs to black and white film stock, otherwise it would be orange (for colour negatives) or black (for colour positive/slide film). I think this is a technical oversight and not a deliberate clue?
I'm heading towards Charles Dickens as the author but no suggestions yet! Sad
SysD will surely have it.

Oh, that's just an oversight of my slapping images together to make the riddle.
I know when I showed the riddle image and then the perfume to my partner he was amused, so I don't think this is a case of "Scar's terrible riddles". Razz

No, it's Triffid's terrible sleuthing!

I'm still in longshot territory, I think.
How about "Fight Club for Men" by Rayane Tradition?
No, but you're on the right track!

A film with some violence and smoking, perhaps based on a book by 'Chuck'?

"Lullaby" by Francesca Dell'Oro?
Nope. But warmer, warmer...

"Fullchoke" by Francesco Smalto?
Nope, but once again, very close.
You guys are gonna kick yourselves (or me) when you get it.

Ah, it's "Snuff" by Elsa Schiaparelli. I had no idea the bottle looked like that.
Yes, indeed it is "Snuff".
To clarify, it was "this is not a pipe" (for the notable bottles) and the bloody film strip (a snuff film).
Ohhhh, well it makes perfect sense now of course... Well done SystemeD - tenacity shall overcome!

"Scarface for Men" by Universal Studios?
(Is that Al Pacino? At least there are "four men").
Or perhaps "Cocaina en Flor" Laughing
Triffid has it!

I was hoping the "four men" would provoke a chuckle, but your answer certainly did, Scarletting!

OK, I did not write this one, it's a borrowed verse (regrettably, it doesn't rhyme).

He is everywhere
in the heavens and earth.

He makes the stars shine
yet He cannot be seen.

He is noble, abundant,
and fills the universe.

He can lift you into the sky
and bring you gently down.

He can take many forms.

He can help heal.
He can help kill.

He can help create
and He can help destroy.

Praise unto He.

Oh, I just realised this is easy to Google - oh well....

OK, here's a better one. Sorry for confusing double post - you can go for the double guess if you want...

Here we go again,
Another 'panty dropper' thread:
"What's a sure-fire scent
To get a person into bed?"

A question such as this one
Always fills me with alarm,
What's wrong with dressing nicely
And some good old fashioned charm?

If banter's not your strong point
And high fashion's too much trouble,
Give this to your target
But make sure that it's a double!

Best results in rowdy bars
Perhaps around the seas,
Many houses make this
But the strongest's sure to please.

I didn't have to Google the first poem -- the "noble" tipped me off!

"2He Helium" by nu_be.

I haven't guessed the second one, so let's see who can!

Well done SystemeD. The verse appealed to the atheist scientist in me! Feel free to post the next clue as I don't think my follow-up tandem post is good enough. I'm trying to make the clues less obvious but, on reflection, probably went from "too easy" to "this could be anything".

I will admit that I searched for a fragrance named "GHB" since (sadly) date-rape drugs always come to my mind when someone asks one of those awful panty-dropper questions.

Oh dear, sad but true, and the clue seems in rather poor taste given that angle. I was thinking more along the lines of desperation, dutch courage and alcohol - the sort a sailor would quaff in a dockside bar.
