Passing on the perfume passion - how young?

Passing on the perfume passion - how young? 9 years ago
For those of you who have small children or young relatives, how soon do you actually pass on your perfume passion?

Like - freshly laundred baby clothes with a nice smell.

Like - a nice scented lotion for a toddler.

Like - a little gift of a decant for a six-year old girl.

Like - a well-chosen cologne for an eight-year old boy.

I am only guessing. And I did make gender differences.

With all that talk that perfumes are 'harmful', well-chosen input into the growing youngsters is not wrong. We want to pass on what is important and beautiful to us.
Education is important 9 years ago
When you are a perfume lover it does not take much to "teach" the others, to explain why you love this scent and you do not like the other one. This is how it begins. I let my granddaughter- a six years old- to take a voyage through my collection. I added my explanations to each and every perfume she tested and make small decants of the ones she loved. At her age, the preferrances went towards the gourmands: Lollita Lempika, Thierry Muegler. That was a first step. I am sending her decants whenever I can and want to see how she progresses and change her tastes.
